Coach Pitino would be thanking Iona and this game would be provide NYC goodwill and good all around!

We also played Iona at MSG during Mullin's tenure as part of a doubleheader with Air Force v Army

I was at that game back in 2017 . Army Vs Air Force was a snooze .
Iona still Coached by Cluess at that time .
Good game , we didn’t blow them out .

What I remember most was telling my Son about Justin Simon .

Justin had half a dozen chances to score above the Rim and missed. every one of them.

Ponds , easily the best player on the Court that game .

Well it is glaringly obvious.

I do respect the position of the other side. Pitino had a tremendous season! We are all SO grateful for the year he just had and that he is our coach. I understand being reticent to launch any criticism his way. However, my eyes are open and I'm not likely to agree with every move made by my favorite coaches, bartenders, or politicians.

It was a glorious season and the BE tournament run was pure magic! Why did it have to end on such a sour note with a bad taste in my mouth? I could have done without the historic Singleton like finish. Then again - WE still ARE...
