Zach loves Pitino and not to defend him, gives SJU wall to wall coverage. Like most reporters he can break balls, but all these guys are all about clicks & selling papers.With Zach waiting on every single word so he can make mountains out of molehills.
Agree. He’s on the top of my list for a SJU View podcast.
I don't know he says half the stuff he says. This team would literally beat last year 100 out of 100 times and he knows that. He feels guilty that him shitting on them last year made national news so he'll will build that team up the rest of his life. He hated that team. Who would defend Deivon?!

The station is not good the worst host is Evan Roberts, he just whines! I can’t listen to him. Overall the worst host ever on Wfan definitely Richard Neer, he could cure insomnia!
Evan used to be great until Carton ruined him. I’d argue Carton’s influence has been the singular biggest reason wfan has been trending downhill for years. He absolutely ruined the station imo
So on the other side of the Richard Neer comment. I am also way oder than you. Class of '75 and '78, so I remember when Neer was a long time disc jockey on the original WNEW-FM. When that ended and he moved part time to FAN, 30 years ago, I followed him. He let's callers talk, no shouting, no insults and his takes on things are rationale and thought-out. Hyperbole is not his thing.
His voice is unlike anyone on the station, so I get insomnia being equated with low key. But his interviews are great because he asks good questions and doesn't interrupt.
Rick won't evr go on with Neer, first, part time early morning weekend jock, plus he is not into college BB that much,his sports are football, baseball and golf. He went to SYR I think but doesn't talk their BB, actually not college FB much either. NFL.
Rick will pick WFAN spots with higher profile and more ratings.

A lot obnoxious hosts over the years, Roberts is one of them unless all you can think is the Mets/Nets/Jets he’s your guy. Won’t talk Johnnie’s right now because he knows they’re bigger than the Nets. I think Rick might have done something with afternoon drive once. Other than a Yankees broadcast (happy Sims is on the call). I don’t listen to Wfan, tuned out once Jastremski left. Evan reminds me of Gregg Opie Hughes a good driver of a show but that’s it. I’m hoping Morash wraps him with a cord one day. Neer was a legend in Rock radio much like Carol Miller and Ken Dashow. I had overnight job that was done at 6am Saturday morning around 15 yrs back. I must’ve drove off the road twice listening to him. After that I had play Anthrax Or Biohazard leaving work.
