Peyton Siva chimes in lol
Good or bad?Been there. It's an experience.
I saw them open for the James Gang, time is moving fast, it was probably over ten years ago. He still owned Cablevision, and they clearly gave away a bunch of tickets to employees. Those folks were giving huge standing ovations, but they were about ten percent of the crowd. They were okay, didn't hurt your ears or anything, but papering the crowd with people to "adore" you was the most striking thing.Good or bad?

Ha, no it was not. Also, did not see Charles Oakley there. Is that surprising?
That's fair and you are far closer to this than me but as an outsider it seems like without Riverside we might have had been even less successful as they provided us with a number of great players.

Just a guess, but Pitino probably did not look at the facilities as Michael Corleone trying to do business in a pre-Castro Cuba with fancy casinos.Boomer and Gio interview is worth a listen. He compared STJ facilities to Cuba, in terms of going in a time machine 25 years ago and seeing the same facilities.![]()

He hasn't fully said it explicitly (yet), but I get a sense he also enjoys being able to build a program with his imprint & potentially hand it off.
100%Rick focus on defending all the time takes away the legs of some shooters. Has to be a contributing factor in the low percentages of his current and past teams.
Carnesecca coached at St. Anne's, now Archbishop Molloy from 1950 to 1958. Jack Kaiser was baseball coach from 1956 and an assistant basketball coach from 52-58. He realized he didn't know much abour basketball and recruited Looie to become Lapchick's assistant starting in 1959.Frank McGuire and Looie were asst coaches and SJU lucked out because of their ability and the NYC recruiting area. Frank made sixty five hundred when he left and Looie tripled his salary when he left. Lapchick was also underpaid considering his accomplishments,
After Looie retired NYC was no longer the totally dominant recruiting area it had been and the SJU selections for coaches was pretty bad. Jarvis had early success and Franchilla was successful until he realized how underpaid he was and SJU bounced him when he tried to get a better paying job.
It's all clickbaitWhat is is this utter nonsense?

Indiana Hoosiers linked to Rick Pitino as head coaching candidate | Sporting News
The Indiana Hoosiers were loosely linked to Rick Pitino as a potential head coaching candidate to replace Mike Woodson.www.sportingnews.com
And what is this, in particular:
"Andershock shared some of the reasoning why the two sides won't come together.
"Pitino is looking at other options, and Indiana has many concerns about his past," he wrote."
Other options? Like what suit to wear for the next game?
