Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

I think the 834 may include the 120+ W's @ Louisville that were vacated and not officially counted by NCAA records...

Like our 40+ W's vacated from early 2000's that might (not sure) move us up a spot or two from #9 on all time program win.

if so,, guess it depends how you look at it.

46 games forfeited. ND, with 28 more wins, ahead of us at 8th winningest program.

Not sure this has been discussed…I read that Rick has 834 wins (as a head coach I assume). In the six years remaining on his current contract, he would need to average 27-28 wins to get to 1000. Tall ord
Sounds like he needs an extension !

There is no doubt during the Pitino Era that we will pass ND in the Winning Column .

While I haven’t looked in a while , there are other schools that might be within reach also for us to overtake .

Remember , during our Golden Age we were the 4 th Winningest BB Program in America .
It’s finally time to stop the descent and start the upward trend again .

It’s not too late to force UCLA to forfeit all of their wins and championships during the Kareem through Walton years.

Either that, or Sam Gilbert working with John Wooden were way ahead of the NIL curve.

in addition to ND , Syracuse and Temple are within reach of the Pitino Era . Even UCLA not out of reach .

Thanks for the scorecard .

UCLA is tough since Cronin has them going pretty good. I expect us to be great but I don't think UCLA will be so far behind that we make up 65 wins. We will take a nice chunk out though.

But absolutely agree on Temple and Syracuse. Also had no clue we were ahead of Indiana and I think we can stay there under Pitino, even with the Hoosiers' recruiting surge.

With no stream to watch the game, I didn't check in until we were in the OT and saw we were down three. In seasons past, I would have assumed it was over without a miracle. Today I saw the score and figured these are games Pitino teams win more often than not. Sure enough...
