Your sister practices law, so I thought I screwed it up.Even if you missed the Seinfeld reference, I'm baffled at how you missed my attempt at humor.
So you consider me an attorney by association? Oh, and it's my sister in law.Your sister practices law, so I thought I screwed it up.
Monte,Beast I think the last 2 team played below capability, but I don't think well below capability. Don't think they were as talented as many thought they were, and I wasn't concerned about many of the players that Rick cut loose when he got here. Don't know how much the kids did or didn't respect CMA, but it was obvious that they didn't listen to CMA(on and off the court). Maybe those kids wouldn't have listened to any coach, which may be why Rick didn't want them back.
NCJ hope you're well. Never said they weren't Big East level, they were, just think we had a team of roll/bench players who got starter minutes. We still should have been better and I most certainly agree that chemistry was horrible.Monte,
You and I disagree a bit on talent of last years team. I just don’t think any of Posh, Wusu, Storr or Jones (not to mention Soriano) were anything less than BE level players. To me, the biggest problems were chemistry (particularly Curbelo) and coaching or lack of same. Not saying we were a top 30 team talent wise, but we had enough to dance with good coaching. Just my two cents.
Chemistry wasn’t good for most of CMA ‘s tenure . Figueroa wanted out and didn’t fit with Anderson from the get go . Then the wholesale exodus of GW3,,Earlington , etc was more than just players transferring out . That was a red flag .NCJ hope you're well. So that would be attorney by marriage. An attorney in law.So you consider me an attorney by association? Oh, and it's my sister in law.
….. Earlington.
He was at San Diego w/ Lavin. Played 29 min/game.. averaged 17.3 pts, 6.8 reb, 35.6% from 3, 78.8% FT.Does anyone know where Earlington ended up, and what kind of season he had last year?
Thanks
I don't think you can look at players transferring out when a new coach takes over as a Red Flag... otherwise Pitino has a Giant Red Flag lol...Chemistry wasn’t good for most of CMA ‘s tenure . Anderson loss three guys from his recruiting first class, Moore, Cole and Sears.I don't think you can look at players transferring out when a new coach takes over as a Red Flag... otherwise Pitino has a Giant Red Flag lol...
I actually thought it was impressive CMA was able to keep LJ/Heron when he first came aboard... had he lost Julian/Posh, those he recruited... think that would say a lot.
Say what you will about Pitino, but he was built for the NIL era. Couldn't ask for a better coach to handle the changing monetary landscape of College Basketball.Goodman
Rick Pitino, St. John’s Coach: ‘I Know My Window Is Closing’
Pitino, 71, has revamped St. John’s roster while embracing the ever-changing landscape of college basketball. Can he build a powerhouse?themessenger.com
His adaption skills are quite evident in embracing both advent of three point shot back in day & NIL nowSay what you will about Pitino, but he was built for the NIL era. Couldn't ask for a better coach to handle the changing monetary landscape of College Basketball.
Not sure this has been discussed…I read that Rick has 834 wins (as a head coach I assume). In the six years remaining on his current contract, he would need to average 27-28 wins to get to 1000. Tall ordWhat an impressive young man!
Sorry…tall order? But if he makes it, great things will have happened for our team.
