here's my take:

1. Rick's agent is Evan Daniels from CAA. Who if i recall use to be involved in college recruiting.
2. "Fat Joe" AKA Shawn Costner is also from CAA with deep sports and entertainment roots. He's heavily connected. And i'm sure looking for the next big thing.
3. And while i don't know, all those other people in the pic are likely represented by CAA.

it's a very select group of people from several business and cultural verticals. this is not just a friendly gathering. something's cooking. definitely could be about players. but could also be about brand partnerships; venues; events; entertainment deals.... so many things.

Here’s the way I look at it. We all love hoops and for too long we’ve taken lumps beyond belief. Yes, these guys are pros getting paid big bucks, but it’s for representing a school we all love whether we are alumni or not, so wtf, let’s go Johnnies!
