Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

Gotta say, Rick Pitino is already getting things done with a big chip on his shoulder. While the experience might have been valuable to go to Greece to coach and then not get job offers except for Iona, I have no doubt that he’s pissed and eager to show people that they we’d just keeping his throne warm.

He came in here, and did a total remake of the roster in less than two months. We as fans went from a place where we were afraid we wouldn’t be able to land anybody. As of today we are stealing top 35 recruits from UNC and have no idea where to fit all the talent. Rome might have not been built in a day, but if Pitino were there back then, I might have to eat my words.

Nero would never had fiddled as Rome burned out of fear Pitino would rebuild an even stronger empire from the ground up.

Definitely all in ! 40 or so yrs a fan. This is it feel have to embrace everything. Can’t imagine it getting better

And I bet we get more as we get closer to the season, assuming that's an option. I haven't pulled the trigger yet because it is just one of those things I haven't gotten around to do, but I plan on getting a package for the first time instead of what I normally do (just go to many games via the secondary market or friend invites).
 
Today on the Tiki and Tierney show on WFAN, Brian Tierney made mentioned of Wilcher coming to St. John’s instead of North Carolina and said ”This is why you hire and pay Rick Pitino all that money!”
 
If I’m not mistaken Pitino becomes the fourth SJU coach who is a member of the basketball hall of fame. Lapchick and Carnesecca spent their entire college coaching careers at SJU, Frank McGuire who is in the hall of fame mainly due to his coaching at NC but who had a very successful although short stint at SJU and now Pitino.
Is there any other school who can match that.

Yes, Kansas. Phog Allen, Larry Brown, Roy Williams and Bill Self.

Doesn't Kentucky have 5? Adolph Rupp, Joe B. Hall, Eddie Sutton, Rick Pitino and John Calipari
