If the NCAA is going to turn around and look the other way while whistling, why don't we get in the muck with everyone else? The only thing holding people back from stealing from each other are the police and the prospect of jail time. The only thing holding programs back from cheating is the prospect of a death penalty from the NCAA or heavy sanctions, however they are giving slaps on the wrist. Recruits don't even care either. UNC literally invented fake classes and got nothing for it. Louisville is paying players 100k+ with strippers and booze everywhere and they just got their coach fired. It makes it very hard to play by the rules when you see others successfully cheating with the NCAA's blessing.

You are a loyal fan and obviously care about the success of this program. So here's a thought. Drive down Queens Boulevard. Identify 2 contiguous blocks with failing businesses. Buy them out cheap. Demolish the buildings, and construct "Mike Zaun Maserati". It has a nice ring to it. MZ Maserati needs a back office to handle car loans. You need a sales staff. Heck, you need a company to clean the place every night. Oh look, a 5 star recruit's mom worked at a bank in the lending department, but she is out of work. MZ Maserati is hiring. What a stroke of luck. By the way, MZ Maserati pays the highest sales commissions in the land, but you need young, energetic salesman to sell those high end cars. What a great work-study idea for a college freshman. Learn the automotive industry and earn huge sales commissions along the way. Can we get into the muck then when the NCAA catches us, show them how nothing happened to any other schools for the same? Unfortunately, I don't expect to hear anything earth-shattering, despite Vitale's tease.
