A ton of young talent in that arena . 9 freshman made the Wooden Award list this season- most of them on the court tonight

Great topic. Too bad St. John's is barely involved with any meaningful recruits left in the 2014 class from any state. Hopefully our recruiting future success does not rely on red shirting projects and spending recruiting $ on JC players while the D1 rich get richer.

The kid did it all, defend the post, pass , shoot the 3, drive to the hoop in traffic...what a player. Duke really has no bigs though, and they couldnt lose enough games in my eyes.

Plumlee's brother doesnt look like much. I guess Parker is considered a 4- he will create match up problems all year for opponents. You guard him with a big or a small.

Shecky, I was being sarcastic vis-a-vis the topic. Get it!
It gives me goose bumps too to think in two years Lav signed all the nationally ranked players he did but I am looking two years down the road when his first prized recruits are gone. Actually, half ARE gone already. We will never compete with Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, Louisville, Syracuse, etc. for the top 50 any more it seems. To make it to a sweet 16 in the future you need studs and coaching. We know about the coaching......but without future studs ............
The only program I want to emulate is Gonzaga. Smart strategic recruiting and did I mention "coaching".

Parker is the best player now, but I could see Wiggins being Melo like if he fills out in a couple years.

Either way, all three of those guys who played last night Wiggins, Randle, Parker are all better than anyone in last year's draft class. Not even close. They are light years ahead of Bennett, Burke, Mclemore, Oladipo etc.

I agree this is a very deep draft, and out of the three Wiggins def needs to fill into his body. The other two look phyiscally look like NBA players already
