Providence (MSG), Wed., Jan. 10, 6:30p, FS-1

Solid team. Let’s take it to them and continue to get healthier and improve. Dunlap certainly adds a new dimension to our lineups and it is widely felt. I’d like to see both Ledlum and Luis healthy, and I’m waiting to see Dingle and Wilcher starting to acclimate.

If we win this, it'd be our best Big East start since 2000-01 (started 5-1). Truly remarkable how this program killed momentum nearly every January this century. Detrimental to the school as that meant most MSG games weren't yet played (negatively affected ticket sales).

Agree this will be a tough game but we'll be solid favorites, and unlike in prior years I'm actually optimistic about winning.

Carter took over yesterday scoring 25 of their 60. Without Hopkins, they’ll look to keep the game in the high 50’s/60’s

Without Hopkins they’ve scored 57 and 60. With him they were in the 70’s minimum.

We gotta score. I think it’s that simple. We score baskets and make them keep up with us.

They have backcourt talent with Pierre, Gaines, obv Carter and Dual. Floyd also. But we are much bigger than them. Vs Creighton they went small. 4 guards and 1 center.

Get into the 70’s and make them keep up with us.

Good Assessment . Oduro , their transfer from Geo Mason , is very crafty and has a lot of low post moves . He’s quick too .

The kind of opponent that could get Joel in foul trouble . He did that in their loss to Seton Hall .

Hopefully our Scouting reports have that circled .

OTOH Joel is a load down low and should be able to bully Odouro.

One thing we don’t have to worry about with THIS staff is scouting reports.

Only really heard that term in baseball setting and never heard it referenced from a fan standpoint in college basketball setting although of course it is. Pitino bringing everything to light here.

Dual left the game late hurt. Haven't seen an update today on Redzone.

Dual Garraway seemed to be dealing with a shoulder problem that the announcers pointed out as it was very visible that he was in pain and carrying it awkwardly after being substituted.
