Providence (MSG), Sat., Feb. 11, 12 Noon, FOX

Line to get into Stout was too long, ran into Fan Since 65 and his wife who was going next door (Fiele) which has the same owner as the Stout. Watched the UConn vs Creighton game from the Bar and had a nice time with my wife and chatting with fans from both sides.

Gross to see coach k associate his rat face with this victory. Biggest fraud in ncaa history. He and his precious fan base have a conniption fit when Corey maggette and brand deign to leave early because he is ‘a leader of men’ and runs a program the ‘right way’. Then when he realizes he’s not good enough coach to win with 4 year white guys he turns duke into duketucky - the biggest nba chop shop around. What a crumb bum. Crowd did well to boo him!

He’s coming next year

Curbelo was too talented a player not to bring in but Posh just can’t produce offensively when playing the two guard and playing both Curbelo and Posh at the same time prevented Storr from getting minutes in the early season and is a major reason the season went into the toilet.
The SJU roster is filled with athletic ball players with limited offensive skills so Storr just stands out when he is on the court. Soriano has been great in the paint and even King has shown offensive potential but the rest of the roster is limited offensively. Anderson’s explanation of Storr not being ready defensively in the OOC part of the schedule to merit minutes and get ready for the big east schedule just doesn’t cut it.
Storr isn’t an all American but for a roster like SJUs he can be a savior.
Curbelo makes Posh worse. A team mostly takes their leadership from their PG. Posh before this year sets the tone. Also switching made Wuso worse and maybe stunted Storr ( but to be fair in the beginning of the year Storr's defense was horrible )

I was at the Garden today and honestly was a bit surprised, both that we played well and won. The team seemed to benefit from Posh being at the point from the start. Curbelo being benched has happened before. I believe it happened previously on January 3rd against Marquette, but today more than in that game it seemed like it positively impacted the team chemistry. That was especially true for Posh, who had a season high nine assists. For the most part the team played much better defense today than they have played for the bulk of the season.

I particularly thought Kolby King was outstanding. He was very solid during his season high 17 minutes on the floor. He stayed within himself, played terrific defense, made two of the three shots that he took, maintained a high level of intensity and enhanced team chemistry. Hopefully he will continue to get some significant minutes going forward.

On the negative side we still had trouble with our offensive sets at the end of the game. From the 7:38 mark to the end of the game we only made one basket from the floor (a layup by Dylan). Unlike the Butler game however, we were able to get to the line and finish the game off. That said, our ability to get baskets in crunch time was still a problem.

The crowd was good and Cooley was able to fire up a significant number of Friar fans that were in the arena as they cut our lead from 16 to 2 in the first half. However the SJU fans took over in the second half and were vocal and enthusiastic. It was also nice to see our 2024 recruit Brandon Gardiner in the arena to take some bows during halftime. It was a good game for him to be there.

I don't know how many more happy moments we will have this year but the more games like this the better.

Maybe I missed it, Mohammed Keita was not dressed... is he hurt & out for year?

Should have redshirted.

While Traore might not be highly skilled, I really appreciate how positive he is on the bench..always cheering, clapping etc.
Mohammed is injured and out for the year.
