Providence (MSG), Sat., Feb. 1, 12 NOON, CBSSN

Guess my first post in this thread was so so bad.

Lol whatever.

Oh I just seen: don't post in all caps

I didn't know that was in violation of rules on here.

I'll be watching this game from home, Providence is nothing.
The only reason people want this game to be a sellout is because Kimberly disrespected otherwise no one would give a crap about this game.

I want the Marquette game , but don't know my schedule and if I'm working late, freaking pisses me off. If I dont go then I'll go to the Creighton game.

I just got tickets on Stubhub for UConn. I cannot standddddd Danny.
I want SJU to beat UConn so freakinggggggg bad it kills me.

Anyway, give Kim hell on Saturday.

No, we want this game to sell out because the program is building and building momentum and we are becoming a hot ticket once again

The goal is get to a place where we are nearly selling out every MSG game, at least the ones on weekends

Exactly! Also as our hall of fame coach referenced we are very capable of losing to Providence if we don’t bring it. One game at a time - humility and victory.

We can lose to anyone, I get the euphoria with the record, but this team needs to do exactly that, bring it each and every night. Leave the nonsense about who stinks, etc. where it belongs, with the fans.

Why wouldn't they bring it every night? Winning is to damn fun to not bring it every night.

If the opponent isn't that good, then bring it hard and crush your opponent just like last night and you kill your opponents hopes real fast.
Never leave any doubt.

The other thing is I'm afraid to lose, one loss can be the start of a downfall.

I also think the motivational comments provided by Kimberly, such as we only do a few things well and not mentioning us as a top BE team will increase our focus on this game. I don't think this will be a trap game. Thanks Kimberly.
He said we only do two things well. In his defense though, I think he meant that comment more as a criticism of his own guys, like they only needed to prepare for two things but couldn't even handle two. Obviously, we do quite a few things well and the commentators who keep saying the lack of 3 point scoring will be our downfall have been swallowing their "I told you so's" for 7 games. As I said earlier, if we gets considerably more possession per game, we can consider those misses as practice. The shooting will improve (It already has) due to more in-game practice.

I do not believe this team needs any outside motivation, at least I hope they don’t. If they don’t understand the opportunity in front of them, they never will and I for one think they do. I was very impressed and extremely encouraged by their commitment in a blowout to defense the entire second half Tuesday. That’s what is propelling them forward and if they stay the course, defense can make them a legitimate contender. Stay the course and keep building on it.
I agree. Coach and the players always talk about how important it was to have the fans behind them (like they couldn't have won without them) and then they go on the road and blow away a team they struggled against at home. They're just that good and that focussed. I do love to see the Garden packed and loud though!

Post game interview comments from English Saturday re SJU;

“They only have done two things well against us, beat us twice”
he would obviously never, because he's classy and loves PC, but Rick saying something similar to open the presser would be all-time...

"Well I guess Kim was right when he said we do two things well...beat Providence"

Thanks for the potential introduction to the recap podcast, Paultz lol
