Progression or Regression

The biggest loss of the season thus far is obviously that damn Georgetown game on the road. We completely blew that game like five different times.

If we held on like we should've we'd be 5-5 in conference, 11-6 overall.. and probably feeling a lot better about ourselves.

it happens. But a good way to make up for it is to win a game like the one this weekend. We are more than capable of doing it.

I hope Williams gets healthy soon.

As Dinah Washington sang--What A Difference A Day Makes.  St. John's Forever!     Iconic Singer, Dinah, singing her Signature song ..  As a Aside , I would petition for Rutherford to have a 6 th year !   And , given the results  in his Absence , I would have Williams come off the Bench and continue the Posh - Dunn starting duo . Not a knock on Greg , just what it is , right now .

It just hurts because it was winnable, but considering how early in the season it was, and it was an 8-9 game (preseason rankings), it's just an annoyance.   Perhaps if we draw them again in the BET, we can prove that that early season loss was avoidable.

You're right, and we also had a real shot to win the first Marquette game. Both of those sting. But a win this weekend will certainly make up for it. It won't be easy and I won't expect it on the road.

For a young team like ours, I look as those tough losses as learning experiences which will hopefully make our team better in the long run. I'd rather we experience those losses early then late. Of course, Id rather we didn't experience them at all, but such is the case with a young team.

I thought they had 4 tough losses.  SH was a winnable game if they could of defended Mamu.  Hopefully that does not happen again in the season finale.  Xavier, Georgetown and Marquette could have all been wins as well.  Obviously, some of our wins could have been losses, but I think we're trending up.  Another win on the road at Marquette this weekend would be a big help with the looming schedule.

If we can win this weekend we give ourselves a chance to really change the outlook of this season with a win against nova. Getting to that game on this winning streak would be great for us.

5-1 since this thread was made. Beat nova Wednesday and we are really on the map.

Mike A has made some great progress with this team and deserves a lot of credit. He still confuses me with his rotations and subs sometimes, but still a great job from
him.

let's get Greg healthy and keep it moving!

I'm going to say that CMA was making progress from the very first practice, but it took a while to show up in the W column.   Teams just have to learn to win.    Thank God that CMA after all these years, is a lot more patient with kids than we area.

Toro for Champagnie at about the 9+ minute mark made me yell so loud I woke my wife up two floors above me. Well, at least the move ultimately wound up pissing her off so it did serve some good.
