Seriously, above all the back and forth, I admire guys like you who served, and had to come back and deal with being called a coward for not running to Canada or burning your draft card.

Comparing this to Trump is a really weak shot, like a free throw that falls 10 feet short. I'm in the minority, and I wasn't consulted, but it's a breath of fresh air not having to deal with the same posts over and over and over. I really don't need a mob of people to agree with me, as you seem to do.

I've liked everyone I've met in person, so it's time for you to come out from your veil of anonymity and meet us at a game.

Mike is not banned. He is in the Rookie Forum. Other than being repetitive he did nothing wrong. There is a very big difference between a non-fan spamming the forum as Baldi did and a fan who roots for St. John's who repeats his dislike of those things that have been obvious. That could be defense or the lack thereof, recruiting, player turnover, style of offense, won-loss record, lack of 2nd recruiter, etc.

There was a talent to what Baldi did and he did it on purpose. Bluto was the equivalent of a wrestling heel trying to get heat from the fans. BTW what is up with Bluto haven't seen him on JJ?

Thanks Beast. I know you mean well. I have no veil of anonymity. The owner of the site knows my name and my background. So do a couple of the mods. As you know there are some folks that have sociopathic traits that can be very intrusive. I think you know of the best example we discussed once so I keep an arms distance since. Sorry for the Trump comparison. No one deserves such a low blow. :lol:
I don't think we have a mob here. Although I have known a few that wouldn't know what a redmen is but bet on games. It's just a few dozen of us that correspond here and I think we all enjoy the St. John's camaraderie. I also think we all want St. John's and Chris Mullin to do well this year and make it a breakthrough year. Mrs. 72 thinks Chris will be coach of the year. I'm on the fence but she has more inside knowledge to the Mullin's than I do.;)

Of course Baldi did it on purpose but he rubbed our failures in our faces on our team's forum. That is not cool. I appreciate unique styles meant in fun. Fun started with a unique style but insulting fellow fans using vulgar and obscene language became a constant. That is also not cool. It's a shame because those folks know college basketball and can share great opinions but Mike Zaun has never insulted anyone. Many here have disabilities. Mike may have Fan Tourette Syndrome (FTS) which is characterized by repetitive vocalizations of negative criticism. Now, I am not a doctor. I just play one on redmen.com but I think all disabilities should be welcomed here because the very definition of a fan originated with the word Fanatic. I vote that demotion be temporary and require him to attend an MSG game and sit with a tutor. I nominate Beast.;) ;)
 
I rarely post but I have come to enjoy reading posts because they are very informative and usually will give multiple and differing opinions. I have always thought mike z to be negative but he was never really personal, in fact I feel sometimes others would attack him unfairly. Is it true that he has been removed from this site? If so really sad.....
 
Are we sure Mike Zaun is banned and just didn't stumble into the rookie forum by mistake and forget how to find his way back here???
 
Mike Z may be an unlikable dumbass, but he's our unlikable dumbass. Let him back in. Ignore him if you don't like him. I do quite frequently.

See when Norm was coach Baldi was the biggest "fan" around. Probably not posting anymore because Mullin vote seems to be split in half. He needed majority to go up against.

Led by sophomore Chris Mullin, those Johnnies tied a school record with 14-consecutive victories to kick off the campaign before winning the program's first BIG EAST Tournament title and advancing to the Sweet 16.

Only six teams in the 112-year history of St. John's basketball have begun a season with 10 or more consecutive wins. That 1982-83 squad is the only St. John's team to do so since 1951.

In terms of overall winning streaks, the Johnnies are on the program's first nine-game tear since the Elite Eight season of 1998-99 and are looking to become the first to reach double digits since 1985-86.
 
What impresses me about our 9-0 start is that we've sometimes played our worst, yet still won the game. It doesn't matter if it's VCU, Georgia Tech or Bowling Green, you still can lose to any D1 team or in recent past history even D2 teams on any given night. Obviously we haven't played the most difficult schedule, however we played some good teams in which we were down in a few of them, yet came back to win. Still something to be proud of. Let's beat my best friends Alma mater and take it to 10-0.. I will never hear the end of it if we were upset by frikkin Wagner. Don't eff this one up boys.

I dont think anyone could get other posters as worked up angry as him. Heck he used to get me pissed when Norm was coach after I turned on Norm until the BEB party when he turns out to be a great guy and I finally figured out like wrestling he was screwing with us :)

Now Lenn Robbins that's a different story. He will go down as an All Time Villain for not writing that negative article calling Norm out after that party
