Not surprised at all that we are 6.5 underdogs going into this. They are basically ranked the same as us, they beat Florida State, they almost beat Kansas (at Kansas), they're playing at home, they have a couple of high-quality seniors, and they have a coach who just won the national championship 2 of the last 3 years.

Of course, this will make it all the sweeter when we beat them.

True but we are going to be prepared for that ,if they are doubling Ponds someone has to be open if we are constantly moving the ball we have shoots at every position, get the ball to the open man and if we are on can score

I think more pressure will be on Nova to win. St. John's got their ranking and is 14-1*, while Nova has much higher expectations and already some mediocre losses. Nova is favored to win by 6.5 points, and of course they're home.

Seems like much more of a "must win" for Nova than St. John's, and Nova absolutely doesn't have the confidence that prior teams had.

While tonight's game is not a 'must win' and a close loss against Nova on the road would probably not hurt us much in the rankings, I think a St. John's win against Nova tonight would make a statement that many programs on the rise in the past--like Nova and Duke and Gonzaga--have made.
Would be sweet, for sure.
Let's do it

We need 40mins of 100 % and no long drouts tough D def 3s and all out team rebounding and just maybe Nova has a no so great nite

Just got back from donating blood at the local YMCA. I hope I can make it through watching this game down a pint!

I've been checking the clock, waiting for 7PM since I woke up this morning. Very nervous because it is Nova but I also think we are the better team. Cant wait for the tip off.

Thanks! That's probably a much better idea than trying to replace the blood with a glass of red wine.

Team is warming up. Great atmosphere here — although I feel like, in my SJU red, I’m sitting in the middle of the lion’s den. Go Johnnies!!

Hang in there. Maybe we'll see you on TV.

Zagoria

My first time at the revamped Finneran Pavilion At @NovaMBB. They spent $65M to rebuild this place and it’s sweet - club seating, concessions stands, all the seats have a nice view.

Zach B
Prediction: 73-71 Nova #sjubb covers

Then again ZB is wrong more often than not :)

If I'm mullin, when Quinerly is on there, I send Simon on him, and harass him the whole way up.
If Wright send another play to help, I put on on him, li gets big steals
