What other head coach on any level would be mentioned in the same breath with their junior assistant?
Other than you trying to take a swipe at Mullin, why would you label him a junior assistant?
It wasn't a swipe Skippy. It was very direct and to the point. What would you label GSJ? Associate Head Coach? Co-coach? The guy was never an assistant anything anywhere and in any program in America he would be a junior assistant.
Heck, I doubt he even knows where Marillac Hall is located.
You should know what you’re talking about before you make public proclamations like that. He was an assistant coach in the NBA summer league for the Nets for two seasons and then was as assistant coach for the Kings summer league team in 2014 before being named the assistant development coach. That makes your “the guy was never an assistant anything anywhere” statetement a lie.

St. Jean was actually the youngest member of a coaching staff in the NBA and named to the NBA’s 30 under 30. He’s also in his fourth year as an assistant coach at St. John’s and is responsible for game planning.

St. John's will look to fill Madison Square Garden for the second time in as many seasons. The Red Storm's victory over No. 4 Duke last season attracted 19.812 fans to "The World's Most Famous Arena." MSG last reached full capacity for a regular-season BIG EAST contest on Feb. 4, 2012, against No. 2 Syracuse.

Great to see MSG sold out against a Big East opponent. I wonder when was the last time we sold out against a current Big East team.
It is great, especially if it creates a true home court advantage for us
I'll be interested to see how many fans are in red & white as opposed to blue & white

I'll guess about 70-30% in favor of St. John's. The Duke game last year I think was about 40-60%, but of course we had that 11 game losing streak heading into the game.

Hope you're right
Nova has a strong fan base in the NY metro area
And it isn't a long ride from Philly to support a strong & winning program
I'm sure Nova will be well represented at MSG today

It's game day.

Will be interesting how SJU plays.

Ready to play and get a possible win, or like little boys at msg getting smacked for a third time at MSG.
0-2 at msg plus Villanova is the best in the B.E., so yeah, no way am I confident.
I'll be there though.

The line opened up a St. John’s +1.5 now it up to St. John’s +4. Money going on Nova.

I don't know if the marketing / selling of tickets underwent any changes this season but there has certainly been an improvement.

My guess is advanced sales were up. Was a lot of buzz about this roster.

Last year may have had similar numbers, had we not started 0-11. Still, I was impressed with attendance for our games against mediocre Georgetown and Providence teams. Definitely higher than I expected. Maybe the school is using a different strategy this year.

My guess is their strategy was just winning games. Also, it sucks that it happened, but I really do feel like the seton hall game evoked a lot of real emotion out of some fans who maybe had connections to the school but didn’t really follow the team religiously.

Seeing the team get screwed out of a win made a lot of fair weather fans want to support these guys in my opinion

This is a big game for Nova also. Was hoping they would’ve beaten Marquette. If Nova drops this game to us, the next Nova/Marquette game could be for the regular season title.

On my way in now section 116! Train is not crowded I’m hoping people took earlier train but fearing this is a sign it’s mostly nova fans today.

Crowd still filling in but looks like a split. The flow of the game will be important to keep our fans motivated. I Good news is that everyone is dressed to play.
