If there was an ice rink under the court at Carnesseca Arena they'd have to rename it Lake Carnesseca

I don’t think this counts as a home court. I  think it is a neutral court , have to play a certain number of games at a venue to be considered home court for ncaa tourney purposes.

This game will go a long way toward showing the character/make-up of this team. If we do not come out on all cylinders, regardless of whether or not those cylinders are clicking, it's a very telling sign. We need to bring the energy from the locker room,  and for a full 40 minutes, regardless of the score. I can accept a loss, but there's absolutely no reason for this team to not give 110% all game. No more cupcake excuses for lack of motivation.

I don't bet, but I'm curious to see the spread on this game. I like to use Vegas as a barometer of where things stand at the current moment.

I don't bet either but I have to believe it is going to be around 10 points.

That's what I would think (probably just under that), but ESPN's Matchup Predictor (which they use through BPI), gives us a 43.1% chance of victory, which is higher than I thought.  It's updated daily, but with neither team playing until Friday, I wouldn't expect it to change much.

Hey fellas- trying to secure 1 more ticket in sec 117 (currently have 6 seats rows 24/25) - that section is sold out on ticketmaster.

I know mm52 posted about tickets in 117 earlier- trying to message him, not sure if they have been sold yet. Let me know if any you guys are selling.

That is interesting and would make P1NSTR1PEZ's prediction look good.

Thought line would have been in the 10 range, but looks to be lower. Don't expect a blow out by Kansas, regardless of how bad we looked in our last 3 games. We showed what are capable of in the 2nd half at Indy. And we we didn't have Mathis, although Pinzon  filled in admirably. Let's put together 2 halfs of solid ball, like we did in the 2nd half at Indy, and l think we can steal this one. This ain't Gonzaga or Duke we're playing.

#SJUBB vs KANSAS STUDENT UPDATE ?

Lower level student tickets are sold out❗️ Due to overwhelming student demand, we have made additional upper level student tickets available beginning tomorrow morning at 10am.. STILL ONLY $10
Looks like $10 is the pricing sweet spot lol

Hope not too many kids who are driving in turn around at the parking lot entrance after they see the $45 parking fee...lol

A nice add would be free or discounted student parking.

I'd hope students going to the game will either take LIRR, Uber or car pool so that they can split the parking fee 4 or 5 ways. College kids are usually pretty good at finding most cost effective ways of attending things like concerts and sporting events. I know my kids were although with the girls it was more concerts than sporting events.
Would be great to see student section full.

Sju is running buses from campus.

student section now has sold out the 700 seats sju bought.   More sales tomorrow.

MC has been very hands on along with his staff to make this happen.    He WILL transform this program, facilities, and fan base.  One man dynamo. And now a New Yorker through and through.

Anyone been to the Arena yet ? Any good establishments inside or near the arena that are good places to meet up to drink some pre game adult beverages ? Preferable places that no Islander players or staff have been so I won't have to go into a covid protocol

Belmont hall, right next to the box office, is open from 1130-12am on event days.  I believe the Harrison in floral park is involved.

Great place for pre and post game drinks.

There is a bunch of bars in the arena as well.  UBS is really nice

Smart move will pay dividends. Helps attendance, gets the students involved who will  be  fans as alumni.
