No such thing as a must game for a team that hasn't lost and still has 18 games to play after this one, but I can't help but feel this game is HUGE. No reason we can't win and if we do, we will go a long way to silencing schedule doubters.

Let's go Johnnies!!!!

How will St. John's defend Myles Powell on Saturday night? Seton Hall's star guard is shooting 54.3% from the field in Pirates' nine wins. Just 32% in their three losses. #shbb

Long season and only first game / one game but this is clearly the most important game of Mullin coaching era. Win would be huge in that it will legitimize the 12-0 start and not put seed of doubt in the players not to mention posters on here that went through the Lovett leaving slide from last year.

Justin Simon. I don't want anyone else guarding Powell except maybe Heron for short spurts.

If I see Dixon even for a second on him it will immediately end my 34 year Mullin appreciation tour.

A startling stat as we count down toward Seton Hall vs. St. John's: The Hall is 13-1 at home in this series over the past 20 years, with an average victory margin of of 10.8 points. Includes a comeback from 20 down in 2006 (Paul Gause). Domination on this side of the river.

Unfortunately without Keita and our inability to switch and guard the 3 point shooter this trend will continue.
Looking forward to the upset over Marquette.

Chris Mullin on Myles Powell: "Great scorer. He can make contested shots look easy. He can really get it going, big-time shooter." #sjubb

Kevin Willard on Shamorie Ponds: "I think he's really playing the game at an NBA level. He's not forcing shots, he's getting everybody involved. He right now is by far one of the elite players in college players." #sjubb

Kevin Willard: "I think Shamorie Ponds is the second best player in college basketball." #shbb, humorously noting Powell is the best.

The more I see of Greg Williams, the more I think that he will be useful down the road

Agree. I see a Postell like progression in next few seasons,

Well with out Keira hurts on the boards buy really think his rust will show and could disrupt chemistry that said we will hVe to play really good to win odd donor favor a victory unless we stop Powell and ponds goes for 30

I can remember that one win. 2013-2014 season, and we won by 1 point. Rysheed with a great bounce pass to Obepka in the lane with 2 seconds left and he got fouled. Made 1 free throw and we held on.

Anyone know it is televised on Comcast I look at FSN for the date and time on schedule but it is not there

Not sure if this is the best place to post this but figured it's getting eyeballs and curious people's take.

I watch most if not all games. Many on DVR however after the fact so fast forwarding and often not paying attention to the pathetic announcers often assigned to our games. I haven't heard this mentioned prior on the boards and was wondering if it was the first time it was mentioned.

But did anyone catch the beautiful easy on the eyes and also actually good analyst Sarah Kustok where she mentioned that Mullin said he does not have the team run plays. He prefers the non conference time for the team to gel and be free flowing but will introduce plays now that conference is beginning. I wasn't quite sure how to react to that honestly.

She mentioned it a bunch of times but we scored 104 points so who needs stinking plays?
She has looked better btw. Thought she looked a little worn down last game

I think, with the double round robin in effect, you have to hold some things back during non-conference play. IMO, with all the different ways to scout teams, if you let it all out now, you'll be too exposed when you start meeting these teams a second time (or third in the conference tournament).

OMG, my favorite Johnny player not named Mullin.

Great Johnny. Short stint with the Knicks and then onto the Army. A favorite of mine, as well.
