With a win tonight, St. John's would move within one victory of its high-water mark in a season in 19 years. Won 21 games in 2014-15 and 2010-11. Last time Johnnies won more was 1999-2000, when they won 25. Also last time they won a tournament game. #sjubb

I get we’ve played up-and-down like an out-of-control elevator this season, and while we may not do better than 3-2 these last 5 games, IF healthy, we should.
Heron’s markedly improving game, Figgy’s steady and heady play, and Ponds’ talent, to go with a hopefully-focused Clark and Simon, gives me confidence we’ve turned the corner on the season.
Let’s beat Providence tonight and go from there.

Go back to that season just after the Ohio State game and tell your young self that we won't win a single NCAA tourney game during the next 18+ years. What would your reaction have been?!

Go back to that season just after the Ohio State game and tell your young self that we won't win a single NCAA tourney game during the next 18+ years. What would your reaction have been?!

Imagine being told right now our next Tournament win will be in 2038 (19 years from now). It's a crazy thought. Would anybody stay on this site for the next couple decades knowing that? How many people will die before that happens (no offense to some of the older posters here, lol)? I personally might get an advanced degree at another school, just so I could find another college sports team to root for. :lol:

Ironically 1999-2000 season is also the last time we made a BE tournament final. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we did all three (25 wins, BE conference final and an NCAA tourney game win) again this year? I'd sign up for that right now. A win tonight would be a great start. Let's go guys.
