Cant have a letdown.  Need to keep the foot on the gas.

We win this game and we are comfortably in the field of 64.
 
Let's get it.   No stopping.  Destiny is in our hands and we know what we are capable of.  Plus I'm ready to hurt Cooley to the core.  Ready up!!
 
In the post game presser, coach said gwill tweaked his back again.  With the emergence of wusu, we will be ok until he is 100% healthy.
 
Watson is going to get his. Can't let Duke and Reeves get off. Gonna be a tough one, but aren't they all. 
 
This will be a really tough game.  Coming off a terrible performance, on top of the Gtown debacle, Cooley will have those kids ready to play and compete their a** off.  And our kids are coming off the biggest W in their lives.  I've given up trying to predict how this team will do.  Watson will be tough, we'll have to keep Prov off the glass generally because after the last two games Cooley is going to have them in full attack mode.  Hopefully we get the "off" Reeves because Duke will be a handful.
 
Hoping Posh leads the charge in taking Cooley to the wood shed

Yup.  Huge spot for a letdown game.  Hopefully, the fact that we are tied with them in the conference will keep us focused and with a "we need this game" mentality.
 
The St. John's fan in me knows a letdown game is imminent haha

Our letdown games always seem to be against providence 

Mullins last year we actually had TWO. 

Won @ No. 10 Marquette and then promptly threw up a dud against providence at MSG.

then we beat No. 13 Villanova about a week later, but get smacked at Providence the next game. 

luckily Chris mullin ain't our coach anymore. But I'm still terrified of this one

I would give Dunn one job-get in Duke's jersey on defense for the whole game. Less ball handling, keep it in Posh's hands. Less shots unless you have an open lay up. If everyone plays to their strenghts we can be a very good TEAM.
 
Hopefully, our defense on Watson will be better than some of our earlier defensive performances against legit bigs.  I think it will be.  The defensive tranformation has been the reason for our run.  Roberts has to stay out of foul trouble, but this could be a game for Toro to play 8 or 9 key minutes on Watson to keep Josh safe and out of troulbe.  Moore should conetrate on boxing out and post defense when in there.

All in all, Providnece always is a burr in the saddle but this team has shown resliency.  We've beaten better teams this year than PC, but the match-up with Watson is the big issue.  This is the kind of game we've struggled in earlier in the year.  This should be a good measure of our progress.

PC's Duke struggling recently, so of course you know what that means. :) 

PC has not been shooting/scoring well so this may be "rock fight". Like our chances a lot if we control tempo. With their shooters struggling, helping down low on Nate Watson, but recovering quickly may be effective.

After this game, 5 of our last 7 are in Queens. Would be a huge road win and set us up for a strong finish.
 
I've been out of the Redmen.com loop. Has Providence and Cooley come to fill the need-to-hate void left by Calhoun and UConn?
 
Of course this Game against PC is one of the biggest tests of the Year . For one , Cooley will try and get the Ball to Watson as much as possible to get those tough inside hoops he excels at . Getting him the ball will depend a lot on Breed , Cooley 's choice as BE Freshman of the year . Posh will need to put the clamps on him as he did  Gillespie . I guess Dunn will have to guard Duke , pressure him all game . Reeves isn't the Player he was due to injuries . It seems like he's been at PC long enough to get Retirement Benefits . But , he still is threat from outside . We will need Robert's , Moore Toro to disrupt Watson as much as possible . Try and deny him the ball .  The next biggest question is : What Does Fr Shanley do in his first PC - SJU game ?  Choices are : 1 Root for each team for 1/2 the game.  2. Root for the team with the Ball .  3. Put a St John's sweat Shirt  on his PC Cardboard cutout at 1/2 time. 4. Stay home and work on the SJU budget .  
 
As has been said, we cannot have a hangover game from the big win last night.  Have to in and play with the same tenacity as last night for the full 40 minutes.  That is who this team has to be every night to be successful and they just proved they can do it.
