Yes ... starting this Saturday for men’s basketball “family reunion” - we invited every former player back!

We are by and away the Biggest game on their schedule which means they will be pointing for us. Hopefully we can get the running game going and take the lift out of their legs and lower the 3 point ability. To look at the stats of their exhibition game does not give a full picture as we don't know the quality of the competition but their opposition turned the ball over albeit not as much as Queens did versus us. T/O's are the key to the game.

As pointed out yesterday, ESPN BPI has us as 75% odds to win which would be roughly 6 point favorites. Since the actual Vegas line has us as 11 point favorites, our probability of winning should be somewhere in the mid to high 80's. Not too bad considering Mercer has a higher KenPom (#185) than any of the teams the Big East played last night. Mercer looks closer to a "Bowling Green" (#114) than a "Central Connecticut" (#348- our next opponent).

As has been well covered, we can't sustain 40 minutes of hell yet but I think Coach Anderson will pick his spots and eventually blow the game open with a couple of segments of pressing where we should cause chaos and overwhelm them with our superior length, athleticism, talent and hopefully effort.

Long time coming for this. Need to keep our former players in the fold. They bring program pride, and much more including become donors as well. Good stuff.
