Marquette & St. John's are a PK in the Vegas odds
BPI likes our chances. They give us a 57.4% chance of victory.

My friend is trying to get a ticket to this game for his friend, if anyone is giving one away or has an extra let me know! The kid is a St. John’s fan and will make some noise!

I know clark read this board, don't know who else read it, but this is cause to come closer.
Kids you're all you got, the league f'ed you, so become close like a family, do everything (eat breakfast, study, go to clubs, eat dinner together.
Do everything together. I was gonna come to 2 ms. Games, now I'll go to all 4.
Love each other like a family, f the b.e. who screwed you over. We , your fans got you.
We love ya. Take this shit personal.

My take is , just wins despite everyone else.
We love you kids, defy these

We all support you.

I'm going with the very realistic and not at all alcohol-inspired 107-71. Ponds with 49.

How the team comes out and play the first few minutes should be interesting.
I predict that it will not be a close game - one team will win by 20+.
Hope it's the right one.

A game on January 1st is tough and I would not be surprised if we did not have a packed house. Quite frankly, it is no better than 50/50 that I make this game which is after a family dinner and frying to get myself ready to go back to work after being out since the 21st.
This could be best game of the season at CA and I still have to motivate myself to go. The best thing I can say about Saturday night was the chair back at Prudential was very comfortable. It was a tough game to recover from and not just the ending. I am going to leave it up to my son who at 15 already has suffered a lot as a Met and Jet fan as well. Really wish the game was earlier as we also have to be up early tomorrow after a long vacation.
I give us a 25% chance of winning this game. Marquette has size and talent and say what you want about Wojo but he coaches with Duke intensity. Even with Keita 100% we would likely lose this game. Although our starting 5 are as good as anyone in the league we literally drop off the cliff once one of the starters sits regardless of who it is. Greg Williams is the only Big East level talent on the bench who can play an all around game that includes defense. Trimble is a 3 point set shooter and slow. Dixon is a 3 point shooter who can't defend. Having a 6'9 Josh Roberts on the bench while watching one of our guards defend players 6'9 is hard on the eyes. Not having an adequate bench in year four of this experiment is truly a sad situation. While we are recruiting height for next year we definitely were a day late and a dollar short this season which is par for the course.
I had dinner at a friend's house for New year's Eve. There were two entrees, a perfectly cooked beef tenderloin with a homemade horseradish dressing, and a beautiful bone in pork roast, perfectly moist with pan roasted Yukon gold potatoes and pearl onions accompanied by a homemade brown gravy. Tender young asparagus and sauteed mushrooms were the sides. Dessert was a German chocolate cake made from scratch.

Exquisite meal, great friends.

But if I I have to be honest. The main course was a little cold, the cake slightly dry, and the appetizers lacking

I'm not sure if I should be happy about what a great job our hosts did in presenting a meal worthy of Michelin stars or go on about what kept it from being better. I'm really conflicted.

A short note in the Post article Paultzman just posted that Keita practiced yesterday, could see some action tonight - game time decision.

As much as I’d like to see him play, I hope the team doesn’t rush him back.

Don't sense they will rush him back before he's ready. On the other hand today is seven weeks since the surgery; maybe the original estimate of recuperation period was not that far off.

A friend came in from out of town and decided he wants to attend the game. If anyone has an extra, please let me know.

Happy New Year everyone

Two factors that could decide the outcome;
1. Ponds doesn't make it a Mano -Mano contest vs Howard. SJU needs a complete game from Ponds but Howard is too good a shooter for him to make a personal statement
2. Mullin's two year love affair with Trimble ends. Williams is so much better defensively and rebounding that the hope that Trimble starts making threes seems a lost cause.

Thank you for that. Rather pay a fellow person here than the crazy stubhub fees

I like his dad and how he is with his following of program
I'm furious with the Keita situation and what happened at SH (both by our team and refs), but my one positive takeaway from that game was how Williams tried to rally his teammates and pump up Trimble--who was playing over him at the end of the game. He (and his father) seem to be a dream four-year package. He's not playing big minutes but he's always working hard in practice and supporting his team on the sideline. When his # is called, he delivers on the court as well. Very rare these days.
