No difference with FIOS in my area.
Agreed. Originally IIRC, it was not in HD but it is now. No complaints about the quality for me lately
Sorry didn't see this one before I posted.

Bet your house (not mine ) on Johnnies tomorrow.

St Johns is favored by 3 over Vermont tomorrow.

CAPISCE ?
Is that how that's spelled?
_______
According to Merriam- Webster:
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/capisce
You are an educator grazi (sp?)
Capisce is the southern Italian slang spelling of the Italian word Capisci which means "do you understand".
The word for thank you is grazie.
Now back to our regularly scheduled discussion. The redmen are coming off a very bad game with Mustapha Heron having a nightmare replay performance of his NCAA play in game. If he and Figueroa play a good and Dunn adds some depth at guard, expect a 12 point win.

“It's no secret the Catamounts haven't raced out of the gate in the shooting department. UVM is a paltry 12 of 65 from 3-point range, tied for 311th out of 350 D-I schools for made triples. UVM has yet to crack the 70-point barrier and is also just hitting on 65.4% at the foul line”

That’s gonna be rough as we have been putting nu a lot of points. I hope we continue our trend and really clamp down defensively. Would love to be 4-0 coming out of the weekend.

I hate to have this negative juju, but I have this feeling that they'll break that trend this afternoon. We've gotta get in their face and steal their lunch money to get some easy baskets.

They shot 36% from three as a team last year. I think they return something like 7 of their top 8. But, the one that graduated was their best 3 pt shooter by a large margin.

Nova up 43-21/against Ohio Ohio seems like a very weak team who can not shoot from outside. At least that’s is what they showed in the 1st half

The Burlington Free Press article mentions that UVM’s starting PG is not likely playing (injury). That could be a huge deal in light of our relentless D/conditioning.

Tangential note: I love this D scheme, which is only going to improve — but my all time favorite was Dunlap’s amoeba D during DJ’s senior season. It really looked like we had 6 guys on the court.

Paris and DJ were so good on that end.

Maybe what I’m most impressed with about Champaigne is defense and his ability to make plays and contest shots without fouling.

Vermont seems to use full clock given the number of shots they take per game (average 55/game; we take 74 per game). Also even though they shooting percentage is low they don't do much on offensive glass but they must be playing strong defense (29 offensive rebound vs 93 on defensive end). Pace will determine game. We have to have a good transition game and score before they set up so out passes are critical. In this game Dunn can help as transition game seems to be in his wheel house from the discussions about him and seeing him in the scrimmage.

Now getting my Red on and heading out to CA. Gonna stop by St. Thomas More Chapel after parking and say a prayer for victory.

Seems to be a little early in the season to me to look to a point spread on these teams. I'll wait a few games before looking seriously at these measures.
