Complete BS. You try to win every game you're in. They aren't playing the Warriors. We beat them last year and we were the last non-conference team to beat them in Cameron. Pretty much every year we don't suck we beat them.

We might be the best team in the country to combat their wings. We struggle against guards that can drive and nasty big men, but 6'5-6-7 is our sweet spot defensively with Heron, Simon, Trimble, Clark, and Figueroa. That is basically their entire rotation besides Tre Jones and Bolden.

Bolden could potentially destroy us teamed up with Williamson, but we have the potential to shoot our way past a lot of easy baskets from them inside.

Sorry Michael Beller of SI, but our team will show up, and be on the court at noon tomorrow.

ST. JOHN’S AT NO. 2 DUKE
Saturday, noon, ESPN

Duke lost the first leg of this home-and-home last year in a stunner, which has absolutely nothing to do with Zion Williamson, R.J. Barrett and the rest of this year’s Blue Devils. Still, it’s worth remembering, if only because that loss last year would be only slightly less surprising than if the Red Storm can pull it off again on Saturday. To be honest, we’d love to just fast-forward through the next week of Duke basketball. Beginning next Saturday, the Blue Devils will play Virginia, Louisville, NC State, North Carolina and Virginia Tech in a 17-day, six-game span that would be more daunting than what they’d face on the road to a national championship. Can that stretch just get here already?

From the article:

True, but it did have something to do with Shamorie Ponds.

I definitely don't expect to win, but need to give credit where due.

Ponds puts his stamp tomorrow as being a first round NBA pick. I bet my recovery on it :)

Puncher's chance tomorrow if Ponds is the best player on the court and 2 other guys step it up (Heron and Clark/LJ).

Like Westbrook 31pnts &14assists??????
Forget the rebounds?
I can't wait for the people who are going to be upset if we lose this game.
Wrong homie! Fans would be upset on HOW we lose not if we lose.
Losing by anything less than 12 is a win imo.

So I guess if we lose by 13, we can expect your usual negative ranting. I don't think our head coach loses any sleep over whatever negative drivel you post.

Breakout game for LJ, he had some nice games but tomorrow:
34pnts 11boards
Kid is gonna bring it the hardest he ever had this year.

It will catapult his game for the rest of this year.

I'm gonna dream. It's 'free'.
Lol.

Hahahaha
Love me some Figgy but I don't think he has the game to go for 34...@Duke nevertheless.
Maybe as a senior.

I would LOVE to be wrong.

I don't 'expect' to win either, but I'll be surprised and not shocked if we do.
Let's do it.
To Marillac’s “delight” :)

Justin Simon (migraine) said he'll be fine for Saturday
He may have a bigger migraine after the game is over
Not sure why, but strongly sense the series with Duke willl not be renewed.
We can't play them anymore because we have a contract to play every team in the NEC

Coach K is not big on altering his team's style of play based on their opponent. While I fear a relentless dose of Zion down low, my guess is they will run their offense without deviation.

I think our best approach is to expose their inexperience by playing turnover-producing defense.

Fingers crossed for a competitive game.

The is the first game in a long time that I will not be on pins and needles
I don't expect a W but hope that we are highly competitive
More importantly, I hope that nobody gets hurt
Win or lose, we still have a lot to play for
