Is DePaul missing players...? i know they just took a beating to Providence, but Providence is GOOD....

Who is DePaul missing from their 9-1 team? they had a 15 day pause before a 4pt loss to Butler and a trouncing by a top 15 team...

What gives anyone here confidence that we Should* win this game coming off our own 20+ day pause with who knows in game shape....

And that's exactly my fear here. DePaul has been playing lately, even though they've lost. And this isn't the DePaul team of years past that can be marked as an automatic win. The fact that St. John's hasn't played a game in weeks has me chalking this up as a loss. Hope to be wrong.

God you’re quick!

Good to see the AD outwardly acknowledge the importance. Need this one.

Appreciate Cragg's enthusiasm and desire to get attendance, but seems a bit of a stetch to say "everything's on the line", when reality is nothing is on the line (unless he likes to read another 50+ pages in the Anderson thread... lol)

I hope there has been a lot of free throw practice since the last game.

With two road games at PC & UConn following DP game, I have a sense of urgency myself lol Just can’t continue digging early holes in BE, a bad habit in past few seasons.

If we lose this game Duke of Earlington definitely going bonkers and transferring his membership to the San Diego Board :)
Marcellus Earlington is having a career high in MPG (27), PPG (13.6), RPG (6.3), FG% (46%), and 3PT% (43.4%).

I miss the duke.

Good for the Duke.  I am glad to see him doing well and no doubt enjoying the sunshine.  But, this is clearly a step down in competition.  San Diego is not a good team.  They beat my alma mater Cal Poly 52-51.  Cal Poly is a very bad team!

St. John's specializes in digging big holes in the Big East Conference opening sessions, why go 5-0 when you can go 0-5 and spend the rest of the BE season, with a shovel in your hand and a hard hat on your head.

Improving ones shooting technique while in college is a very challenging process but Earlington certainly accomplished that.Even against lesser competition the numbers are impressive.SJU should look into how he went from a brick thrower when he entered SJU to where he is today.

You can't reasonably hope to finish at .500 in conference without beating to bottom conference teams at home. Must win game that will bite them down the road should they lose.

You've got to credit him for his work ethic. It was well documented on here how hard he worked, especially early on when he was transitioning from football to basketball.

Wrong thread to continue this but those talking about how great Marcellus is doing most of his really good stats and good shooting performances are against the lesser teams they have played which skews his overall stats.  I liked him too while he was here for the most part but look a little closer at the numbers.  He hasn’t made leaps and bounds improvement from here at all.  Overall shooting percentage is the same but Plays more minutes so of course his ppg are up.  3 point shooting is in 40 plus % range.  But he did shoot 40% last year as well.

Yeah, he was very good for us over the last two years.  I think he should have played more last year.  Based on what I’ve seen this far, I think he would have been far more productive for us than any of the newcomers.

I really feel people should temper their expectations for tomorrow. Anderson likes to play fast- will be hard to do with a potentially limited number of players- coming off a long lay-off.

Whatever you guys want to think about DePaul, they are most definitely a Big step up in comp compared to any of the teams we have beat.

Hope I am wrong, but feel tomorrow could get ugly. Will def be putting some $ on DePaul to hedge my emotions.
