Personally I can't understand criticism of the current staff's recruiting of talent. They have been in place for only about ten months and have multiple coaches out in the community recruting and making connections all over the place. The last two regimes were highly criticised for not working hard enough at recruiting. This is certainly not true of this regime.

Patience is difficult when the last twenty-five plus years has been decidedly underwhelming. That said, each new regime must be given an opportunity to make their mark. So far almost everything I am seeing from this regime has been very positive. I choose to be patient and give them time to really build this thing.

Yeah we waited 20, so what's another 2-3 years.

I'll give it 2 more years to get more talent here before judging the 40 minutes of hell gimmick, but so far it's allowing wide open 3's all game every game. Before the Nova game I said they would rain 3's and people told me they aren't that great at 3's. We make every team look like they have a bunch of shooters. If this gimmick doesn't work after getting more talent, can we please get a coach who understands half court sets and spacing like Nova? I'm not calling for CMA's head so don't twist my words, it's still early. But if after 3 yrs it is not effective, the only other thing to try is a young hungry coach from a top mid major that knows how to run plays and has a half court offense and a defense that will at least contest most 3's. 2021 recruiting class will make or break CMA.
Anderson has 382 wins. His mentor who ran the same system had 508 wins and a National Championship. The system isn't a gimmick. We just need better players.
After Louie and Jarvis, CMA has the most career wins.

Good question...if we could only have 1 I'd pick the lights out shooter right now. It's mostly a shooting game these days so I'd stress that more, but a huge big who can score is also necessary. Earlington is not very tall but he can hold his own in the paint for his size. Dunn can drive fairly well but has some issues finishing especially because he's small and gets swatted a lot (which is a McGriff concern too). We have 0 real shooters right now. LJ and Heron are not shooters and that's been painfully clear. Decent but not at the level needed.

Interestingly enough, part of our shooting woes are secondary to zero inside offensive presence. IF there was an offensively savy big guy out there thag was capable of scoring when the ball got into the post, our team shooting would improve. Much like Dunn doesn’t have a bad outside stroke, most of his threes are taken under duress at the buzzer which lowers his percentage as well as Heron’s and others. Heron also similarly limited because he can’t create his own shot well. An offensive presence inside would mitigate a lot of things. That said, it’s doubtful there is a big like that available for us readily and it’s easier to grab a great wing scorer. Both would be tremendous.

Johnny Fan, not to get political, but FWIW I think Johnnie's have a significantly better chance of winning tomorrow than Romney has of being offered a place in the Trump administration.

This guy is always pushing the limits on what should be permissible on a sports board. At some point he should be banned.

It was a little ugly and a taunting of those who do not approve of the president. I have no clue as to where it came from and as to why.

Think it should be higher anyway Is coach going to give Steere any time .If

he was this bad Why did staff ribs him on

Saying nolan richardson won a championship 25 years ago playing this way is completely irrelevant. I mean, dean smith won one too. Should we run the 4 corners?

Give up open 3s is probably the worst thing that can happen in todays game. Do you ever notice every team is on fire from 3 against the johnnies? Its because these teams know they are going to get wide open looks and confidence is sky high before the ball even tips.

When your shooting confiedently, forget about it. And every team is shooting confidently against the johnnies.

Not expecting a win, but I am confident that CMA is aware that Creighton presents a major threat from behind the arch. If the game is one wide open look after another, that would be a concern. Otherwise, like every BE game, we are going up against a much better roster. Let's just try to make it a competitive game on the road.
