I didn't bet the house as u suggested on the Creighton game, but i did bet next months lunch money, so thanks. i see the spread is -5 - what are your thoughts Paultz? i thinking we win this game but that may be the bourbon talking
With healthy Ponds, like our chances to get over hump at Hinkle. Defend, deflect, disrupt & defeat Hinkle demons in close one of course. Like Creighton game, can’t let Butler get into shooting rhythm.

He's already proven that he doesn't have to score big to be the catalyst. Everything flows through Shamorie and he's been brilliant at running the transition game, finding the open man on offense either for layups, slams, or spot up open 3s. He's also the key to our interior defense because he is the best guy at doubling down while still recovering to guard his man.
I was trying to be clever... Love this team. Not a one man show but still some truth to it. If his back hurts, team hurts... If I was a bookmaker the line would go up or down based upon how much pain he was in!

Our back is against the wall without him... I'd hate to think that we are back, to square one without him next season... But that is all just me being a back seat driver...

The students are back on campus Moose, but the snow is expected to start an hour or so before the game and really pick up during the game. Butler’s campus is a bit tricky to navigate so I expect a smaller crowd of students and local alum. IU and Purdue play today as well in Lafayette which is already getting worked, and with IU freefalling, Butler struggling this season and the weather advisories, I expect relatively quieter arenas in typically loud buildings.

Anytime you have a closer like Ponds, you have a chance irrespective of odds, home court etc.

Plus, with the talent of our first 5 we can beat anyone in this league on any court.

I like our chances. Little chip on our shoulders after losing to SH and G'twn. Get them in foul trouble early, take the crowd out of it.
My call - SJU by 8.

Just have to guard close on the 3 pt line, can’t get caught doubling down and letting them kick out for 3 pt shots too often. We need to distribute and do what we do best keep the ball moving until a good open shot is available,if we can do a good job on the boards we can run run . We have to have bring our best to every big East game can not go into long droughts and think we get get them at the end
Every game will be a nail biter Good luck to the team

Under Chris Mullin, St. John's has lost three games against Butler at Hinkle Fieldhouse by an average of 23.0 PPG. Will history change later today in Indianapolis?

Going to be watching from Bradenton today. Feeling good about our chances . Go Johnnies!

We haven't had much success against the newer mid-west BE teams
This year is payback time
We already knocked off Creighton
Next, we take care of Butler today
And then we complete the trifecta when we play Xavier
GO JOHNNIES!!!

Xavier might give us the most trouble of the three even in a down year. Hankins & Tyrique Jones are both burly big guys who can punish us inside. Need to beat Butler today - very doable.

Fox Sports just showed Shamorie warming up at Hinkle Field House. Was very nice to see.
Let’s go Redmen. Needless to say our most important game of the season.
