Going to be tough to win at Hinkle. Butler is better than their record imo. Tucker finally broke out against DePaul which sucks that it happened right before we play them. He is the key to their season, he is the most talented guy on their team. I thought it was strange how slowly Jordan was bringing him along im sure he realizes now he needs to start him. With Ponds not at 100% im hoping we can pull this one out but I wouldnt be surprised if we lose this one. I was hoping we could win 13 games this year and I hope im wrong but im thinking we end up finishing 10-8 or 11-7. Hopefully we win the BE tournament and wont have to worry; if not I hope its enough to get us a bid assuming we win at least 1 game in the BE tourney.

Agree that Tucker & Baldwin can be a problem for us. However, Butler has no rim protector and can not match our athleticism. We need to press them, defend the three and take the ball to the hoop aggressively and we can win this one. Key game - if we get this one and Gtown at home, takes a lot of the pressure off three road games with Creighton, Duke & Marquette. Very doable, but certainly not easy.

Heavy snow if the forecast here tomorrow, I looked at ticket pricing and it’s falling, I don’t expect Hinkle to be as loud at usual with the weather concerns. This is the first game in Indy I don’t plan to attend, but if it’s safe out there I’ll probably go. Would love to have this one as we’ve had poor efforts here under Coach Mullin.

WIMP! Rent snow shoes and toboggan and slide down there!
BTW, we've had some poor results under Mullin here in New York also. Hoping this year changes the trend.;)

This would be a huge win if we can get it. A big road win and then a week off to get Ponds 100% before the next game. Really need this one.

I'm showing the game Comcast Xfinity channel 218, some movie channel. Have it Dvr'd, and hoping it's correct. Down in Venice.

I think the game is on network TV (Fox).Sure hope so as I will be in Bradenton, Fl tomorrow and am hoping I can get it in our hotel or, failing that, the local saloon.

Yes, it is on FOX.

With Nova winning tonight I think for SJU to have a legit chance to win conference they need to win tomorrow. Tomorrow is a huge swing game, 3-4 or 4-3. A loss and they fall 4 games behind Nova in the loss column. That's a lot of ground to make up this early.

Basically, these next 2 games are must wins, to get to 5-3, forget the Duke game, just split the Creighton and marq and get to 6-4. Then we'll be looking good.

This team has come out strong playing outside of NYC and only failed to finish against a Nova team that was improving and against an eight man team at the loud Rock. This just might be the mature team that can go into Butlers home and came away with a win. I like that Butler and Baldwin shut down Ponds and the Johnnies last year. Ponds is motivated and he's a flat out better player this season. Heron will carry over his second half play and Clark is going to make a difference again on the boards.

It is another key game if this team is going to put together a special season and challenge for the top of the standings.

...and let's pray it's a healthy back the rest of the season.
I think we'll win tomorrow.
Team effort, led by our leader.

That's why his back is in the shape it's in. I shudder to think what the the team will look like without him. An impact player in the truest sense of the word.

Just to be fair, the thing that impressed most people who actually were watching is that even during the 11 game losing streak last year, effort and lots of it, was always there. Say whatever pleases you about our record, talent, depth, or strategy, but our guy's effort was never in question.

I know it was Indy who said efforts and you said results. Should have replied to him.

Tough game today. Broken record - they all are tough. It makes a Big East season ticket the best value in college basketball.

He's already proven that he doesn't have to score big to be the catalyst. Everything flows through Shamorie and he's been brilliant at running the transition game, finding the open man on offense either for layups, slams, or spot up open 3s. He's also the key to our interior defense because he is the best guy at doubling down while still recovering to guard his man.
