I think we win this one. The team has looked much better lately and Butler is in close to last place. It shouldn’t be close.

Poll:

1. An actual positive post from Jermane.

2. A post aimed at setting a bar to criticize a later result.

I go for choice …….

3.  A fan of the program who roots hard for the team, hopes for the best, sees deficiencies with the current staff,  and is willing to speak his mind at the risk of being harassed as in the post that led to this response.

TRIVIA:  What time does a Jersey guy have to leave work to make it to CA for a 5pm tip off?

ANSWER: Tua-fuh-kin-clock
By your answer, I can see you aren't feeling well.   Take a sick day.

Want to see more Colburn
Agree, in the last game in the second half prior to Champ finally scoring at the 6 minute mark, Coburn hit some big shots and drives. I think his contributions propelled the team to a strong finish. Where’s he been all year?

Coburn and Smith warrant more playing time when they have a hot hand.  Both capable of knocking down shots but both are streaky.

Agree with Panther's comments about Wusu.  He isn't naturally a pg, but was asked to handle the ball a lot in Posh's absence.  If you notice, he is who CMA trusts on an inboinds pass because he keeps his cool.   When his decision making is sound, is 100% better.

Like Gillespie, Posh at 80% is better than anyone else we have at 100%.   Hope his ankle continues to improve, but they are tricky injuries.

If Julian plays like Julian.

Soriano much improved and in a reliable way.   Take out avoidable fouls, and use his body, he is better than serviceable and a very good passer for a big man.

I'm enjoying the hell out of watching Wheeler.   He's like a valuable thing you found in a garage sale.

Mathis - don't be so harsh on him.   He is a big conference player, and none of the guys who left are.

I hate losing to Butler, who historically plays textbook sound Indiana basketball.    Biggest game of the season, in a season of biggest games of the season.

If you've quickly picked up on his use of fallacies (set a bar for him to argue against later.... somewhat akin to false dilemma fallacy), which you'll see is his M.O., then you'll soon figure out who's behind the pseudonym.

Hopefully win so the following game can become the biggest.

It's always somebody with Butler.  Often it's Nze.  Sometimes its Golden.  It's been Thompson in a game or two.  Last game it was Hodges.  But Nze is a good bet for "the guy who blows up the game for us."

TBH it's the thing I like about Butler's approach to the game, they run their sets but in the end it's about finding the open man or the mismatch, and they have historically done it very well against us.  This is obviously not a vintage Butler team and I am not sold on Lavall Jordan, but they do still play Butler basketball.

Hopefully being home and having superior athletes and pushing the pace will work for us.

Survive and advance mode after surprising Xavier is much preferred no matter final outcome. It also gives the staff and players a good feeling and hope, which they deserve. Keep it up guys!

Butler basketball = old school Princeton basketball = old school Archbishop Molloy basketball under Jack Curran

Now there's a guy who went here who was born 20 years too soon to succeed Carnesecca.

If you're a basketball purist, have to admire Butler basketball at its best.

Man I am pumped for the 5:00pm tipoff.  I feel real confident being in Carnesseca.  We play our best ball there.  Fans should be all juiced up on pizza and soda.

If we can get this one, it turns the Wed night game vs Creighton into a monster basketball game for us.

I'm feeling pretty good about tonight.  Creighton is a difficult matchup for us although we've done ok against them at home.  Let's get tonight's game and really make that Creighton game important.

I measure our chances by the optimism of our fans.  The more optimistic they are, the greater the odds that something goes wrong.

And judging by the positivity level on this site, we're screwed.

Never underestimate our ability to do a quadruple axel if Butler gets a five point lead and sprint to the “Does Anderson Have It?” thread
