Post season Prediction for us
I stopped making predictions (and betting on them) a long time ago. We can beat almost anyone, that doesn’t mean we will. I’ll watch, root and hope for the best. Having zero expeditions is much better for my health.
Me too monte. Or at least I took a break from it. But couldn’t help myself lol
68 teams are 0-0
Anything can happen
Why not us?

GO JOHNNIES!!!
That’s an open question that I’m sure many will be happy to answer why not lol. Ponds wants to be in the nba? Well this is his last chance. No more drive to hoop for easy layup to dish it out for a 3 everytime. He needs to take control and make a statement. I think he does and takes us for a nice ride.

Must say I had 3 Guinness'. One at Irish brunch after church and two over our corned beef & cabbage dinner at home. Been a long time since we've played two strong games in a row so cannot get too excited about getting to second weekend. I do think if we win Wednesday (and not overly confident we will), we can win Friday against Buffalo. Considering we are lucky to be in at all, it is a favorable draw.
On another note, cannot believe Marquette is seeded higher than Nova. Doubt results will justify that seeding.
This bracket should be sponsored by Ping for IRONy. SJU Coach plays rumored SJU coach ( Naclerio tweet ) and former Buffalo coach. Winner plays Buffalo.

This shit cant me by mistake
Naclerio is CLUELESS, just starting shit. SMH. On another note, former St Johns assistant Jim Whitesall is the top assistant at Buffalo.

I have NO faith this team can put together more than 1 performance good enough over the next week, so hoping it comes on Wednesday...that being said, we certainly have the talent to go on a mini-run if we play our best and together (AND maybe most importantly, stay out of foul trouble).

If I have to make a prediction, it will be a 10 point win against ASU followed by a 10 point loss to Buffalo (after leading at the half).

There's very little chance this team get's to, and no chance this team gets out of, the first weekend, but if miracles happen and they do then they're LA(ish) bound and I'll be stuck paying too much for tickets.

I would love to be competitive in the ASU game, win or lose.
They have an intense savvy coach who will utilize their size to exploit us inside. We would need all 5 of our only Big East caliber players to play their best. I can only count 4 games recently where that's happened. The Keita recruitment will go down as one of the worst evaluation of talent since Jack Wolffinger.

I just want them to play well. Hopefully they win. We made the tournament which was the goal this season. If we make our threes early it’s sets up everything else for us and we can win.

The million dollar question is who will be experiencing the pain?
Desired answer: Hopefully not us! :)

Based on how this season went I see 2 scenarios. One, they are winning the entire game and a phantom foul puts Az St on the line to win it with basically no time on the clock or we just get totally run off the floor. Praying I am wrong and they pull it out.

I had made my own video as mr T doing my impression that it was pain for St. John’s opponents lol. But oh well. Couldn’t get it on the site

I'd be happy to see this team make the Final Four in the West Regional

We really stumbled to the finish line here but this starting five has logged a ton of minutes. Fortunately this is only the 5th game in the month of March so they should be fresher than they’ve been in quite some time.

The hope is we jump on them early and maintain intensity on the defensive end for as long as possible. Steals and deflections are oxygen to this team’s offense. We tend to gas out hard in the last 5-10 minutes of games. Of course everyone says it’s important to “start off hot” but in our case it’s critical cause nobody is coming in to save the day off the bench!
