Feel so bad for the guys. They simply don’t have a closer or anyone that can step up and hit a big shot.

Also... f**k Xavier and Naji Marshall. I’ve said it for years how much I hate Xavier and they really lived up to the billing tonight

Just a brutal loss. But we are headed in the right direction under coach anderson. Just a little more patience fellas. Our time is coming.

Seldom does a team lose with a 22-4 Turnover edge, very odd.

Scrappy, enjoyable bunch, but too often have not closed out games with lead late.

The worst part about this loss is that the usual suspects who were real quiet after the providence win are going to swarm the board again even though our young players Champ and Earlington and Greg showed some real flashes tonight. Future is bright.

Exciting game, right to the end. I was on the edge of my seat, cheering, and yelling encouragement most of the game.

Erratic shooting during the final 10 minutes cost the Johnnies again.

Heartbreaking after such an effort against a more talented team. I think Rutherford & Champagnie played their best ball this season?

They had over 20 offensive rebounds though I believe?

This was toughest loss of the year for me, even worse than Gtown. We just played such exciting ball down the stretch and when Rutherford had that breakaway dunk I really thought we had it. LJ had no business taking those last two shots, one was worse than the other.

Yet another crushing loss , LJ was awful why on earth is he taking the last shot. Dunn missing the front end of the 1-1 was a crusher too! We just have to take our lumps this year and be happy with Earlington , Champagnie and even now Williams Continued improvement. It is clear brighter days are ahead in the future we have a good coach with a good system just got to get more horses in here!

Free theows!!!! Both dunn and earlington missed front ends of a one and one down the stretch. Hit those and the game is over.

Very fun game to watch though. We are going to be a force in the big east soon. Its coming.

This team has lost so often, that they've gotten good at it. It's why I don't mind a mass exodus at the end of the year (within reason, obviously). Bringing the same crew bacj will just breed more losing, IMO.

It’s days like today I wish I went to a SUNY school or just watched Dawson’s Creek reruns

This is also not the first time Dunn missed FT’s in a big spot. He has to be more clutch but this loss is on Figueroa more than Dunn.

Stop

Very tough defeat to stomach. SJU should have won this game.

Effort was there. So I just have to accept defeat.

Brutal loss. Love these kids. Figueroa struggles today and that was the difference. Can’t help thinking what kind of year this would have been if Figueroa and Heron has the kind of season we hoped.

I can’t believe how good Earlington has become. Champagne is a good one and Williams is solid. I know Dunn missed a big free throw but the kid is a warrior.
