The foul call on Culver was legitimate. Before Dunn slipped Culver slapped him in the face right before he slipped.
 
Dunn was the key to victory today. Yes he made the play and the FT that won the game but more importantly he was the man during the stretch when LJ was out with foul trouble. Not only scored some but broke down the D with his relentless drives to the basket.

Great win. Yeah lots to work on and pick at but extremely entertaining. What else do you want?
 
Of course you don’t want to get in that scenario but it is tough to hold on to a game like that. Should could pay dividends going forward. We’re headed in the right direction and we’re only gonna get better.

Greg Williams has been rock solid last few games starting with second half of umass.
 
Kudos to Greg Williams for stepping up and allowing us to maintain an 8-10 point lead on WVU. Thanks to the basketball gods for not letting the last 4 minutes overshadow his performance.
 
Man when WVU tied the game up I just thought to myself
“Well this is a rebuilding year so it happens” but to actually get the win is huge.
 
This win is also a direct result of CMA playing his bench early and often this season. Good job by coach.

Although shooting was terrible, 7 for 7 on Free Throws was key! Great addition.
 
Really nice overall team win. Dont care what that last foul was or wasn't.
WV got away with a lot throughout the game. Bench was great. Signature win early in for Coach and his rebuilding effort.
 
Huge win today, it's a momentum builder.

Win the next two, get steere back for Albany.

I agree with Logan that each game is only a game and from where we sit a loss would not be the end of the world but I also agree with MCN that this win is huge. With an experienced coach with a proven system and hard work our weakly constructed team beat a very good WVU team with a hall of fame Coach. Kudos to Greg Williams and Rutherford for strong games especially after so many on this board had given up on them. It just seems that every game someone else steps up when needed. Just goes to show we have a team and not a few stars, very enjoyable to watch the progression of this young group.
 
I got news, there aren’t a ton of Big East teams that are tougher nor deeper than West Virginia. Extremely well coached, big guys inside and overall a competent team. It was a great game for us to win. Also shows we can win this type of game.
 
The thing is, this team will need to keep this level of intensity going forward. Unless some of the shooting numbers improve it will always be about how intense they play. I’m optimistic that they can shoot better. Really, really looking forward to what Steere can do. His 5 fouls and size presence if nothing else can really add something.
