Lots to work on after this one. Hopefully they learn from the mistakes and move on to the next one.

Texas Redman likes what he sees from CMA's team.

Spare a thought for the other Wildcats (Kentucky). Ha ha ha :)

And the last minute of the St. John's game got pre-empted by WWE nonsense. Not Heidi, but WWE. Lord help us all.

Glad to come out with the win. I think we will play better. In the meantime, thank God for Figgy.

Figgy POG. Roberts and Champagnie looking like players. Heron off, but had 5 assists. I think Earlington was a little aggressive at times, but scored and is improving. Onto Vermont, hopefully w Dunn,

Nice to see us win, fairly comfortably, when we played far from our best. Also, and not saying it was perfect (far from it) but it’s nice to see us run a half court offense semi-competently. We actually ran the full 35 seconds off the clock most of the last 5 minutes which has been a problem for this team, seemingly, for awhile.

3rd player of the game award (actually 2nd since Heron didn't do much:
Looked like a draw between Roberts & Champagnie
Roberts: 33min, 12pnts, 7boards, 4blcks
Champ: 28min, 11pnts, 9boards, 1blck, 1asists

I'm a 2nd half kind of guy, and i think roberts had 12 at the half, and thinks champ had 4.

I'm gonna give it to Champ

3rd player award count:
Julian 2
Nick 1

Grind out win. Good job men!
Mustapha....all class even tho worse game we will ever see from him.
Props LJ!

I'm OK with it if it was Asuka and Kairi Sane on screen when the pre-empting happened.

You are so predictable.

We didn't play well--particularly from an offensive standpoint--but we continued to claw and fight on the defensive end. I think we eventually wore down New Hampshire like a boxer or a sturdy, offensive line in football.

I know it'll eventually take more against the better teams in the conference and country, but this team plays with energy and constantly scrap. I really believe this team, with the addition of Steere and Dunn, will be a tough out on many game days in the conference.

Good job to continue battling tonight, and kudos to New Hampshire as well. I thought they were well-coached for the most part. They seemed to often make the correct pass on offense. Hopefully, they've helped in preparing us for Saturday's tilt versus Vermont.

Not our sharpest. Exposed us a little bit with regards to the steep drop off in offensive abilities after Mustapha and LJ. If one of them is having a stinker against Big East opponents we'll be in trouble. Will be a relief to get Steere (and hopefully Dunn) eligible to help bridge that gap with a couple more offensive weapons.

That being said I will echo what was said earlier about Heron's attitude. Was high-fiving guys and being vocal even as he struggled offensively. He got really excited when he hit Champagnie with that backdoor cut for the And 1 when they made that run in the 2nd half. Good senior leadership. We've had some stars (who I'll leave nameless) in the past who would be very pouty if they had his performance.

I also continue to be thrilled about Champagnie and Roberts. Looking forward to those two being fixtures in our front court for a couple more seasons.

Let's get this one behind us.

The team struggled tonight but made adjustments and played decently after a very poor start. After three games I see plenty of things to like. First and foremost Anderson can coach and players can execute their roles. The team runs an offense with good ball movement and plays team defense. Individually there are opportunities for multiple players to get pointa and that takes the pressure off of the main scoring options. Heron was off tonight (shhooting 2 for 12), but L.J. really shined after a very slow start. Champagnie was excellent as well and was one rebound shy of a double double. Roberts was really solid also and has developed so much since his Freshman year and is clearly the most improved player from last year's squad. In fact both Roberts and Earlington's major improvement as Sophomores reflects very positively on what Coach Anderson has been doing to develop this team into winners.

The guard play of both Rutherford and Williams was subpar tonight and makes the absence of Dunn a concern. That said Williams is still finding his way after being injured and Rutherford was outstanding against Mercer. Hopefully Rutherford can play to his Mercer game form as opposed to tonight's subpar performance where he turned the ball over six times. Sears played a little bit but was mostly a non-entity, but Caraher contributed a couple of threes (the only made ones by anybody outside of LJ who had five) and wound up with nine points.

For me it is positive reviews for the Anderson regime so far, although Vermont on Saturday will be a real test and should reveal more about the team's ability to compete against better competition.

Sloppy game. The Fig-man, indeed. Guy leaves it all on the court. Champagnie is a tough-looking frosh. He'll be a good one, imo. I also enjoy the passing, the intensity...and the rebounding!

Need a lot of work but it is early Think coach will have them shooting foul shots and getting beat off the dribble and closing out on the open threes. Hope each game improves and hope we get Dunn who will give us more scoring

I was expecting a game similar to the first two. Love the pressure defenseother guys stepping up. Can't be missing so many free throws

Crowd did get into it

Hoping for a good crowd Saturday, very sparse crowds so far

Need Dunn as he’s a penetrator and we don’t have many. Heron is excellent but he’s not a driver and penetrator. Missing a few elements but great scrap by the players and good coaching.
