If I am high on that list you don't read too many people's posts
Ok John Wooden thanks for lesson on sports
And again if there were a baseball forum when I was in college and I did something on the field that looked ridiculous I would have been fine with people joking about it
Just to clarify your position:
Criticizing 18-22 year old young men for their past play = Acceptable
Criticizing former coaches/grown men who were grossly overpaid to under perform = Unacceptable.

Nope
Joking about a jump shot that hits the side of the backboard with a 120 mph exit velo during or after the game is just commenting on something that just happened.
Posting over and over that the greatest player in school history should "quit" is a bit tedious. And he is gone now so what is the point?
When Earlington leaves I am not going to blame the next kid poor shot selection or incredible exit velo on his shot on Earlington's past shots.
Mase jr was one of my least favorite players. How about I just blame him for everything would that make you feel better?
As long as you are asking, keeping your hypocritical juvenile opinions to yourself would certainly make me feel better.

Please stay on topic. If someone wishes to criticize players and/or coaches, past or present, start another thread and discuss your thoughts civilly on that thread.
Thanks.

Agreed.
Or you can skip over his posts and let him argue with himself. Responding is only feeding his desire to debate nonsense.

Ironically that joking description of Earlington jump start was accurate. In the beginning of last year he was chucking up 3s and didn’t look like a div1 bb player. Against Mercer he looked completely different. The improvement is amazing, albeit against inferior competition.

Ironically, he came in as a recognized and acknowledged complete basketball project and didn’t deserve to be ridiculed. But whatever floats your boat.

Figured everyone would be in a good mood after a solid looking win filled with hope. Then I visited this thread.

We all knew Earlington was making a transition from one sport to another and taking a step up in class basketball wise. We also had heard that he was a very hard worker and was going to give it his best shot. Skepticism was not unreasonable and I was skeptical like others. Delighted to be proven wrong and to eat some crow. Taking pot shots at coaches or players is very easy to do and frankly don't see what it accomplishes.
