On the post game radio broadcast Coach Cleveland indicated that Posh played with an injured wrist and that is why he did not shoot the ball tonight.

Agree least favorite.     Any real big signature wins said:
Hope there is a miracle in BET, but if not I'm happy for this season to be over.

Least favorite since Norm years for me.

Eh, just like Posh not starting was a coaches decision.  These guys arent being honest regarding what is going on.

If Posh were to leave, the program would be in the dumpster for a long time.  Frankly,  this does feel uncomfortably close to the Norm years. EEK.

This season outside of 3 games has absolutely sucked like literally I haven’t enjoyed almost the entire season. But hey we beat Colgate which is meaningful since I went for dental cleaning today

body language.  Effort     Going through the motions

There’s something very negative going on behind the scenes.   Not good
I agree.  You can just feel it.  Something is not right.

Someone made a good point about the structure of the substitution patterns.  There is none.  For example. Pinzon should be the backup pg.  When posh comes out, he comes in.  They are not on the floor at the same time.

If you want to start Mathis at the 2, then wusu comes in for him.  Wusu and Mathis should not be on the floor at the same time.

Coburn starts and ends up playing 5 minutes the whole game.

Its a complete mess and these players have no clue what to expect night in and night out.  Thats not easy for these kids.  They need structure out there.

Some time ago Champ seemed to turn his less then stellar season around. He was posting up more (which he did a few times tonight successfully) looked to get more offensive rebounds and back doors. Tonight he reverted back to the three point air ball and the team lost.

I will be surprised if Posh is around next year. His body language in time outs etc. doesn’t look good.
Posh does not want to play in Mike Anderson's offensive system anymore.  That much is obvious.  And can you blame him?

The only way Posh stays is if we bring a new coach and he re-recruits him.  Even that is a stretch.

If Mike A is back, Posh is gone.  Its official after tonight.
Coming from you then that means he'll be back.

I've read 4 pages of post game and no one has pointed out how Mathis just can't put the ball in the basket.  Like the kid's intensity, his d, even his passing and movement but he can't put the ball in the basket.  Shame.

Correction to a comment I made in the game thread:

Nyiwe now has 3 made 3pters during BE play. Posh has made a total of 4.

I wrongly stated that they had made the same amount.

One thing Posh needs to stop is his selflessness to a fault on fast break opportunities. He has passed up layups (some uncontested) to pass to a teammate who trails him and doesn’t finish nearly as good as Posh does.

Posh finishes at rim, contested or uncontested, better than anyone on the team. Last night (and in the DePaul game) he passed up opportunities at critical moments. He is the guy I want going to the hoop. As I’ve said before, may not always be successful but will succeed or die trying.

The amount of speculation being tossed around as fact in this thread is absurd.

Problem is I like posh but he really can not shoot, He does a lot of other things good ,he is not an offensive Guard and this is what this team needed. Also, if he was on a team with higher caliber players he would shine more and his weakness of shooting would not be an issue, But relying on Posh to be one of the players to lead in scoring is unfair that’s not the strength of  his game,
Regarding Champ too inconsistent  has too many games were he didn’t perform
Blame  the season on COach not on  players ,they try hard but you can only play at the level that your body and skill allows
Coach just recd an extension so he is not going anywhere,Justnhope his recruiting improves or we get lucky a get  player   That just wants to be in NY

Posh is the best finisher and the best offensive rebounder, following other's shots instinctively and getting good position before anyone else.

He does get his shot blocked too much IMO, but his decisions to the hoop are much better than say Mathis.

Mathis, more than anyone, has the ability to throw a great move on the way to the hoop, but is a poor finisher.   His decisions going to the basket are often poor, and I am guessing this was probably a reason why Rutgers gave up on him even though he was averaging 15 ppg.

Last night's game was lost because JC wasn't the dominant JC, and Posh was just another player.   In the closing minutes, Pinzon had 3 great looks from 3 and missed them all, also got fouled and missed the front end of a 1 and 1.   Wheeler also didn't finish on a layup, got fouled and bricked two free throws.   Wheeler may have missed a couple of shots from the outside also.

Winning D1 teams make open shots when it counts.  We rarely did this season.

If you are going to take it to the hoop, it takes focus to mentally be aware but also disregard that you get fouled, and finish the layup.  The goal isn't getting to the line, it's to score.   Instead of getting fouled, no call, then whining to the ref, our guys have to make layups and are only excused when absolutely hammered.

I was okay with 9-10.    8-11 is a disappointment to me, but not the devastating season some fans are making it out to be.

Posh has developed a very accurate mid range jumper.   He should be able to extend that accuracy to 22 feet, but so long as he doesn't take a ton of threes, I'm okay with him as is.   However, without range on his shot at his size, that will limit his future options.

Nyiwe had a surprisingly good year, coming on at the end.   Soriano improved end to end also.   Nyiwe shouldn't be shooting from three, because it takes him out of position for boards.

Having 10 fouls at center, with Stanley capable of providing spot minutes and also playing the 4, gives us good size going forward.
