It’ll get worse if you look at the box score. Easily could have won this game.

I assume coaching handbook probably says trust your defense, but I'm wondering if we should have fouled after the three that tied the game. At worst we have 10 seconds to try to get the win.

If point guard play and freebies are our Achilles' heel, then I agree. Curious how we'll look in a couple months. I still have a hunch we will be a tough out as the season goes into the middle part of January and onward.

Yes, and we shot very poorly (including our 2 best guys) and had some sloppy turnovers. We played hard, and showed some toughness coming back. Disappointing outcome nonetheless.

Yes free throws also shot selection esp by figgy hate those floaters
But not to put a pin in the balloon we were picked last in confr so let’s jUST ENJOY the yr since we known staff will bring in higher talent next yr
But not giving up on this team feel we will get our wins

Not to upset about this one although if we hit our FT’s we could have won. It was Dunn’s first game and we still have to get Steere back and get him on track. If we play this game in February we win. Vermont is a bonafide NCAA tournament team. We are still a work in progress. I still think when Conference play rolls around we will be much better than people think.

Tough loss. But loved the battle back.

People will give us shit because we lost to Vermont but they were a good opponent and played well.

Agree with this. And it was Dunn's first game in 21 months so that gives a lot of cause for hope.
But Heron and Figueroa going 64% and 50% from the free throw line is brutal. That alone could have sealed the game for us.

Gutsy comeback, but a loss is still a loss.
Learn from today and on to Columbia.

3rd player of the game:
Roberts: 8pnts, 13boards, 1stl, 1blck
Champ: 9pnts, 6boards, 1 stl, 1blck
Earl: 8pnts, 7boards, 3stls, 2 blocks.

I'll give it to Roberts for his 13boards

Champ: 2
Roberts: 1
Rutherford: 1

What happened to Nick since Mercer?

Tough game...just could not buy a bucket until the last 2 minutes of course. Missed FT's did us in. No one talking about the absolutely pathetic goaltend call that was a clean block...textbook block. Would've gone to OT at worst. Oh well, we aren't ready yet to beat these types of teams and give it to Lamb who made circus shots all night. He's the only guy they have.

Vermont shot 52 percent and committed 2 turnovers in second half. St Johns 40 percent and 10 turnovers. #sjubb

I think the goaltend was the right call.

The block was clean, but it looked like Champagne was grabbing the bottom of the net with his free hand.
