5 three attempts by Moore won’t make Paul happy or CMA either

Team - 21 attempts from 3, made 4. BYU must have loved that.

Understand that there’s a lot of criticism and frustration. But let’s remember this team has lots of new parts still getting acclimated and hasn’t had it’s full compliment.

Could have won this one but too many lapses. Defense needs work. And coaching staff has to get better lineups out there. Unfortunately any minutes that has Carsher in is lost time.

I definitely don’t like Moore jacking up threes, but he did hit some mid range shots today that l liked. I want to see more of that from him and only an occasional three if he must.

I believe the saying “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” applies to today’s game. Watch the tape fellas.

I agree Redmanwest, I think we’ll be fine in the long run. Could have benefited having Dunn’s defense today.

He wasn’t even close on any of them. Rushed shots.

This is a game they absolutely could have and probably should have won.

Defense was an issue but for me personally a lot of bad shot selection by a couple guys

Julian has to do alot better job bodying people up during fouls shots. Its becoming a trend that he gets beat on a missed foul shot.

On the face of it, it was a bad goaltend (is there ever a good one?), but if you look at the replay, #42 from BYU was the only guy underneath the hoop, and the ball was coming right to him. So, it would have been two points either way, IMO. So, I was actually more OK with it after looking at the replay, but it at least stopped the clock, and I do think the two points were going to be scored in the end (just not on the shot that was actually goaltended).

I don't think it was by design though.

Ugly loss to a team we should have beaten but it's only one game and we do have a lot of new players getting used to playing D1 ball. As Guinness said what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
Need to work on half court offense and have right guys taking open threes (Champ, Cole, Williams and Wusu).
Will certainly help to get Dunn back.
Bright spots so far have been Posh, Champ, Williams & Wusu.

He made his first 3 pointer, and I think that proved to be the worst thing to happen to him in this game.

He has poor shot selection and I noticed that since game one. Anderson needs to be careful as to not allow most of the roster to have the green light.

We don't have that sort of roster where most or the entire roster has a green light. That can lead to some ass kickings down the road. Not to mention, quite a few of the shots wasn't even within the flow of the game. IMO, it played a pretty big role in tonight's loss.

The story of the game is they shot 19 percent from three. That's EVERYONE. I don't know how they'll rectify that. BYU shot 55 percent. Killer. The effort was there. It'll win us some games. The three point chucks will kill us.

Shot selection was a big factor. When you’re cutting into lead cant afford to take any low % shots.this is a team they should have been able to get into foul trouble. Cant do that if you’re settling for perimeter shots

Yep! The same thing I said. It reminded me of a kid I had on my youth team several years ago. He'd play his ass off and hustled like crazy, but he had terrible form on his jumper and it usually was Brick City. If he by chance hit one, then he suddenly thought he was a three-point shooter as he'd hurl one or two more and I'd then check his ass.

It was good Moore hit the first one, but I felt it was also a bad omen.

In this hot housing market we got some good potential bricklayers if they need post season work
