My decision to transfer has nothing to do with playing time or any animosity towards Coach Keatts, the staff, or my teammates. My choice is strictly personal and I appreciate everything State has done for me.
If you transfer after one game you should just miss one game the next year. And just have a cutoff where you would have to sit out the whole year like lets say around beginning of conference play
I would take Steele in a heart beat. Yes, he switched schools a lot. But, if you factor in the odds of getting Kofi, the fact that Clark will be gone and our extreme lack of bigs, it’s worth it. Of course, I don’t know where the scholy will come from,or a walk on situation somewhere.

U/O on when he'll transfer next year if he comes to SJU
I say 10games.

Yeah, we need a big, but would he cut the bs if he came here and played alot of minutes or would we gotta worry about him leaving as well??? After all the transfers we had, why go after a kid who has a history of doing that same very thing. Mullin (not Matt) better have a long sit down with this kid.
Still say every kid should have one free transfer. That's it. Use it after 1 game or after 4 years going for a grad year. 1 transfer. Maybe 1 semester if in season or something. But it will make kids think long and hard about leaving after 1 game like this. And then schools never have to worry about them afterwards.
Are we really acting like beggars can be choosers here? I'd take a D3 big at this point if he's 6'10+ and 240lbs+ let alone an NC State transfer. Whether he is a flight risk or not, we have to do everything we can to land him even if he can't play until December next year.
In a perfect world, Ponds and Heron would come back as seniors next year, Simon would stay, Fig would be more seasoned, and we could throw Keita and Steele at everyone. This would give us a chance to make the tourney both years consecutively and really set us up nicely for next year with another real big. Of course, we know Ponds definitely won't be back and Heron likely won't either. So this is the only year probably in the next 5+ that we have a chance to do anything major. This is why I was so frustrated with the big situation...we have such good guards at the same time that may go to waste because we ignored a problem for 2+ years. Xavier got a D2 big that looked very solid last night. Either we aren't trying hard enough or they really just don't want to come here with a passion.

Did you really just fast forward 5+ years? Bonus points if you can answer this in 2 sentences or less
