Yep, that too. Dick's account now spreads misinformation weekly.
Another example of how Elon is "disassembling" Twitter. Fun fact regarding history of fake accounts on Twitter; first big time fraud that led to law suit vs. Twitter was brought by Tony LaRusso when someone impersonated him.
I don't think it's that we get a lot of attention. It's just loaded with attention seeking degenerates. If you're on there, you know.
Embarrassing or hysterical? Hoops tweeted that Posh was staying. That's the 3rd mistake he's made (Clayton, Noah, Posh) and then retracted it. He's reporting "news" quickly just to be first. Unfortunately, his "news" is from random twitter accounts. I'd say he's the one that's embarrassing. Maybe it's me, but a lot of people got a good laugh, and you're posting about me on a Friday night

Brooklyn Red. You're misinformed and maybe out of touch. Dick Weiss, the hall of fame journalist, posted that Posh was staying at SJU. Howie Schwab and Moe Hatten bought it and shared the info. I used his pic for 15 minutes and posted BLATANTLY fake news in parody. This had nothing to do with twitter. Weiss messed up.
Why would you do that?

B) he's reporting about a kid staying who may or may not have been told to transfer by coach. Posh doesn't seem to be setting the portal on fire. I imagine posh opens his twitter to 200 messages of people telling him they're excited he's staying for next year. The same day he posts a video about how much he misses playing with SJU. Why?? Because Dick Weiss wanted to beat everyone to the punch and thought he could report info from the account @Johniefan8351926?

Eh I wouldn't flatter yourself about me posting on a Friday night, I've got a newborn and work from home (my own company- random/all hours), so the entire week blends together and I hardly leave my condo anymore.
Part of why #sjubb has turned into such a mess is because a lot of people read this stuff and don't do deep dives into what's real, so they'll repeat it to others. Some (now formerly) credible accounts even amplify it, and yes Dick is the larger problem, but he's just one person and the entire hashtag has turned into a cesspool. I understand now why the school doesn't use the hashtag anymore. I'm not saying the crazy number of troll accounts are discouraging recruits from coming here, but they certainly aren't helping. It's a very negative community overall, and it's unfortunate we're not past that with the conclusion of the Anderson era.

Twitter's own guidelines now require parody accounts to state parody in their name because the vast majority of users don't click on every profile but rather are scrolling. Also parody implies humor is involved... hey you wanted feedback and got some. Have a great night.
