Posh Alexander (BUTLER COMMIT)

NOT his choice to leave, according to many reliable sources, including Posh himself. The truth is still murky, but it is FAR from equivocal that he ‘chose to leave…’
Next time tell those reliable sources to tell you everything that went on.

Correct you are 100%, it was not Posh's choice, he did not chose to leave, returning and playing for Coach Pitino was not an option.
I wish him all the best as I would have loved for him to return.

Do you have a quote from Posh that verifies he was asked to leave?

Typically that is only done when a player has done something egregious.

The conversation between coach and player usually is along the lines of the new coach telling that player that he isn't a good fit in his style of play and that he may be better of transferring because he will see his role and minutes decreased.

Are you and redmannorth saying you know it was more of the first scenario and not the second?

I can believe the second but would have to hear the first from the AD or staff. A lot of stuff happened including stuff w Posh so it's possible.

I think it’s a little more nuanced than that. As I understand it, Posh could have stayed had he been able/willing to meet certain conditions. Posh chose not to do what was asked of him, at which point there was no spot left for him here.

FWIW, some Seton Hall insiders I'm friendly with (or purported "insiders") told me something similar -- Posh could have stayed, but was asked to do something, and literally no-showed the following day. After that, bye-bye. And these are guys who desperately wanted Posh at the Hall, especially given how their offseason has shaped up.
