Ponds - 1st NBA game
Jakarr is injured. Has a back problem of some sort. Also 2 Pacer bigs have returned from injury apparently so his minutes would be decreasing.
Thanks. I thought it was something like that.

Curious how many players do we have in the NBA?

I loved the Knicks of the 60's and early 70's, then went strictly to college BB, NBA means almost nothing to me except for when one of our players gets there; Mullin's NBA career for example.
Currently.....Harkless and Sampson.

We also have Simon and Ponds on Two-Way Contracts. Sir Dom was drafted in the 2nd round and spent a short time in the G-League before going overseas.

I think that's it.
And Norvel on the Sixers apparently also on a Two Way. ;)

24 hour waivers. I’d guess if nobody claims him they will keep him on the G league team. Guy they supposedly released him for is a forward.

Same team as Amar

Wish him the best. Rome is certainly a pretty nice place to be earning your living.

Man if you would’ve told me Tariq Owens would be in the league longer than Ponds I wouldn’t have believed it.

From that article:

Shamorie Ponds will not join Virtus Roma.
As first reported by Superbasket and confirmed to Sportando, Ponds asked for more money and Virtus Roma gave up on signing him for the remainder of the season.

Yikes. Demanding too much money?
Interviewed by Rothstein in stands.

Said he has a new agent.
I hope that was after Italy fell through.
Otherwise 2nd is shaping up to be just like the 1st.
Just remember when it was first mentioned who his agent was. Never repped a basketball player before. ....
Swifty Lazar?

Hate to bring this up again. But saw Shamorie shouting Powell out on his senior night. Cant help but think he's kicking himself. He could of been having his day on Saturday, possibly in the running for National player of the year, tourney bound. Instead he's sitting at home not playing PRO BALL

Wasn’t as big a Ponds fan as many here but here’s hoping he is not sitting home lamenting what might have been but striving to succeed, whether it be in the US or wherever.

I always wonder what's going through their minds? Not judging him, I'm sure he had his advisers. There's a fine line between staying another year and getting better and staying and getting hurt. Who knows what would have been. In a selfish way, i was hoping he stayed.
