He gets it! Yet one more reason you have to love Pointer.

I think we would have to go 3-0 for him to have any chance.

Why should our record have anything to do with it? It's not an MVP award, it's the player of the year.

Either goes to guy having a ridiculous statistical year or best player on best team. For Pointer to have a shot we need to be as close to the top of the league as we can get since the first thing does not apply and Nova(Hilliard) does not have IMO a clear cut guy.

Didn't think Pointer could get any higher in my book the way he is playing this season, but he just went higher. That comment makes me want to run through a wall myself so I'm sure it's infectious around his teammates. Let's go Saturday!

Dom deserves it for sure because nobody matches his all-around stats. Chris Dunn might be the closest, but he doesn't have the same resume on both ends of the court. Points, shooting percentages, assists, rebounds, blocks, steals, and Dom has same a/to ratio as Dunn and Dom isnt a PG. I'm not sure I've ever seen a player improve like Sir'Dom has. I wouldn't put it past Dom to develop a solid jumper before the post-season. Seems he figures things out daily... Love guys like this...

Dom has more work to do over the next three games. He's right. He needs to lead his team to the ncaa and a BET championship. And he knows that he and his team can make it happen

The voting takes place before the BET. All he's got left is the last three games. At this point, I think because of Nova's success Hilliard has locked it up.

I'd have to give it to Dunn with Pointer and Hilliard getting honorable mention, Those are the only 3 easy picks for my all BE team. Dunham, Smith Rivera and others can battle it out for the last 2 spots

there's 1 more spot. 1 poy and 5 more. I'll put DLO in there to round things out.

Henton will be in the top 6

The improvement in Dom's game this year could result in the following;
1) all big east recognition
2) the Haggerty award
3) Lavin extension
4) commitment of some recruits because of number 3
5) a settling down of the coaching question and some successful years ahead for SJU and the big east
6) an NBA contract for Dom
