St. John's did exactly what they were supposed to do against Holy Cross. Dominate. Rick Pitino got a great look at Brady Dunlap in extended minutes. Simeon Wilcher earned a lot of praise as back up point guard, and Zuby Ejiofor continues to play better, headlined by his defense. But the biggest headline from the 91-45 Holy Cross win was RJ Luis introducing himself to Johnnie Nation. Another weapon is at the disposal for the St. John's staff as they get ready for West Virginia. Frank and I go through all the positives from the win, specifically Luis and Wilcher.

Country Roads Take St. John's to a win. It wasn't pretty but St. John's found a way to beat the refs, beat the zone, and beat West Virginia on the road. Rick Pitino has always evaluated how good his teams are by how they perform on the road, St. John's improves to 5-2 on the season with a hard fought win. Ultimately good teams find a way to win, no matter the adversity and behind Joel Soriano's career high 24, Chris Ledlum's double double and Nahiem Alleyne's clutch performance, St. John's wins a game they have lost plenty of times before.
