Johnnies are 4-0! Sunday was the first test of the season and St. John’s passed. Zach Braziller joins to discuss the win, the stand out performances and we get you ready for the three games in the Bahamas! Join us won’t you?!

Not sure where you have Zuby with 7 assists and flirting with a triple double as box score had him with 3.

Dave (or anyone)

Zach Brazziler is knowledgeable and I enjoy his commentary but don’t know his background.

Does anyone know where he learned his profession ?

Thanks.
covered a lot of HS basketball and football in the area also early on before joining the NY Post and covering the pro and college ranks. Was on the Knicks beat last year also which was a big deal

Pat and Cole from the Red Storm Rapid Reaction Podcast join me to recap the first two weeks of the year and set the table for the next couple weeks.

Still working on a time that works to record with Masiello…that will probably be after they get back to the states next week.

LOL I'm really losing my marbles!!!

Played college baseball, cut his teeth professionally at NY Post covering high school sports. Prior to Post he worked w several other guys in some scholastic sports group whose name escapes me.
5 Boro Sports…the Post bought that site out and all three guys (Zach, Joe Staszewski and Marc Raimondi) started working there after that. Joe is still there, Marc is now the Atlanta Falcons beat guy for ESPN after covering MMA the past couple years.

Fun tidbit thought I’d share - Rapper J Cole is releasing a podcast series that discusses the entire journey of his career

I’ve been a fan of his for a long time, so I’ve been loving the first couple episodes. The first one talks about him going to St Johns

He tells a funny story, there was a talent show in marillac auditorium his freshman year. He got up and freestyled. Not being from the area, he said he knew he had to rap about stuff that the Queens crowd would eat up

So he had a line where he rapped “haters wanna see me out of St. John’s like Jarvis” because this was taking place during Jarvis’ final year where he said chants of “fire Jarvis” would rain down at games. Crowd went nuts for that line lol

Back in the days after redmen.com had started I guess the site was around for maybe 5 years. If you were a new poster the best way to built instant street cred here on the site was good ole " Fire Jarvis now " posts

St. John’s returns from the Bahamas and unfortunately they brought two losses back with them. A crushing loss to Baylor and likely tired legs along with poor shooting contributing to the loss vs Georgia, this trip did not go as planned. We discuss the heartbreak, the refs, the controversy, and the outlook for the rest of the calendar year with no room for more non conference missteps.

Watching it was bad enough. Listening to how we blew the 2 losses is something else. Bad enough discussing it in here.

A few minutes on Coach Carnesecca and his passing, what he meant to so many, and how he personally always made me feel like he knew me my whole life.

I'm also joined by Jason Dimaio who covers St. John's and Hofstra on DalyDoseofHoops to recap the Harvard win, what concerned us, the elite Kadary Richmond showing up and just how badly Aaron Scott and Deivon Smith are needed for St. John's to have any success this year.
