Pied Piper Debuts!!!!

Tonight: Moe with 19 points, 8-17 shooting, 1-3 from three point line, 2 for 3 from FT line, 9 rebounds - 6 offensive rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block in 32 minutes... And he's only 19 years old. He really lucked out with all the injuries/trades/suspensions to the Magic this season. He's getting the playing time to show he is a legit nba player - instead of being stuck on some deep bench. Good for him.

He is really beginning to show he belongs. I have to admit I thought he would be a bust at the NBA level but he's proving me wrong and I love it. Getting Harkless out there as a solid NBA player or maybe even a big name some day will help SJ immensely. I also love how he surprised coach recently and hung out with the team. Really shows where his heart is...he supports where he came from.

I also believe he is still taking some classes during the summer to keep working towards his degree and making his mom happy.

Harkless is now starting and seeing "moe" minutes in his last few games (sorry for bad pun):

Last 4 Games:

Cavs 35 mins 6 for 13 (.462) 13 points, 5 rebs
Griz 46 mins 8 for 17 (.471) 19 points, 9 rebs
Mavs 28 mins 9 for 15 (.600) 20 points, 8 rebs
Bobc 31 mins 6 for 14 (.429) 15 points, 6 rebs

Not too shabby...

Its a race right now between the Magic and Dunlap for the 1st pick

Call me crazy but if the Bobcats get the #1, a core of Kemba, Henderson, Kidd-Gilchrist and Noel would be a pretty good foundation going forward. A big time center like Noel and I think the Bobcats would be on their way.

Henderson as in Gerald? or am I missing someone. Also dont think Noel will be a center in the league.

Looks like Moe is sticking it to the team that traded him. Orlando up by 16 on the Sixers in Philly. Moe with 10 points on 3/4 FG, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal.

What's Bynum doing? At the hairdresser?

Looks like he's going to miss the entire season and then want a max contract come summer.

What a world.

Good shooting night for Moe. 5-7 from the field, including 3 for 4 from three point line for 13 points. Very efficient. He's definitely extended his shooting range.

Harkless went nuts tonight.
25 points on 11 for 18 shooting.
2-3 from three.
9 rebounds
4 steals
4 blocks.

Against the Thunder in a close game; looks like they are going to lose by a little bit.

Just caught the last two minutes of the 3rd quarter in the Heat-Magic game. Unfortunately Mo embarrassed himself in that short span. It looked like he was a player on this years Redmen team. He made a horrible pass for a turnover, he made the same awful dumb foul that Pointer made yesterday and got abused by Lebron who blew right by Mo and was fouled as well. The good news was they at least trusted him enough to have him try to guard Lebron. "How can you be so Harkless" has a bright future but he looked like a deer in headlights in those few minutes and picked up his 5th foul with the second dumb foul in 30 seconds so I won't get to watch too much more of him tonight. The worst thing is that the Magic had tied the game up right before that and he was singlehandedly letting the Heat pull away.

He really looks like he is on the 2012-2013 Redmen. He just shot an airball and is 3-15 from the field and 0-2 from the line.

Embarrassing.

He's doomed

Well played sir, well played ;)

My embarrassing was actually my reaction to the OP using the word embarrassing.
If Phil Greene had the same game line or same brief few minutes I was referring to you would have called it embarrassing. If D'Lo played the same way Harkless just did(as he did a few times this year) you would have defended him, so it's all relative. I love Harkless, wish he would have stayed and believe he will eventually be a very good pro. However, most of the posters in this thread have made comments only when he has a good game and I was simply pointing out a game in which he played like garbage. It is no shame to get abused by LeBron because it happens to everyone but he made a few boneheaded plays in a very short span. I was trying to compare this to the play we have witnessed by SJU this year. Marco threw up an airball in the last game and everyone thinks he can't shoot anymore, Pointer committed two stupid fouls and everyone pointed that out, Branch, Garrett and others committed some horrible turnovers and people noticed. We killed the Redmen for doing all of the things Mo somehow accomplished in just over a minute. I think it shows that just because Mo played some of the worst basketball I have ever seen doesn't mean that we don't think he has a bright future. Just the same, simply because our team looked utterly putrid at times doesn't mean that they can't achieve great things next year.

He had a horrible night offensively and really made about 3 straight mistakes in that bad stretch but he played on LeBron A LOT. I watched from the mid 2nd on and I thought overall he played him pretty strong. Most of LeBron's points didn't come with Harkless on him. I was pretty impressed with his D. Now his O on the other hand :/
