Official Seton Hall Game Thread

Sorry if I missed it, I haven't checked the thread, but is Branch not playing for some reason? Thanks

Root canal surgery yesterday. Was listed as game time decision.

FWIW, he's been sitting past the walkons on the bench, so I guess he is a no go.

We are going to need to hang, play hard and have someone win this at the end for us. Come on boys you can play better in the 2nd half.

1st four minutes will be key have to come out and step on their throats don't let them hang around turn up the heat

Coach Lavin, please adjust. How about zone? How about moving players on offense so that they are in position to get shots? How about going to Harrison for more than 3 shots? Can we set a pick for Hooper once if he's gonna play? Where is Branch? I could go on.

Turner keeps on saying that St. John's came out too tight.. I disagree, I think they came out too loose... just not paying attention to not turning the ball over.
It's simple. They cut the turn-overs out and we win the game.

I feel like Seton Hall got a lot of scrappy loose ball / offensive rebound type of points.
Put your back-side into blocking someone out and that ends.

That's all they have to do. Block out, stop the turnovers and we win.

I honestly feel we come out strong in the second half. Get CO back in there. Tighten up the D and stop the paint points. We'll pull away. . Be up 7 by the under 12 to

Defense looks terrible. SH big men look like All-Americans. Hopefully the late blocks shake their confidence. Watching GG and Sanchez is a revelation. I love GG...love the kid. Sanchez is the softest player I think I've ever seen.

Ugly game just like SH wants. Dom is an ugly player, so he is right at home.

Its amazing how you try to prevent it, think it wont happen, but these trap/let down games are inevitable.

We should be blowing seton hall out the gym

I cant blame lav other than the team sleep walking.. we should see the half time adjustments and come out flying .. positive boys this is a 10 pt sju win .. so says no hope

That had to be the worst man to man defense we played all year. We were running back on defense with our backs to the ball. Sanchez looked as if he was in la, la land. Does anyone realize Auda only goes to his left. How many of their points were scored inside the paint? Too many! Harrison has to get some shots off. Obekpa getting in foul trouble early really hurt us.

The last few games, SJU offense has been generated by great defensive play. Team needs to come out attacking in the second half and patch up the holes on defense.

And for God's sake, stop turning the ball over.
