How does he explain how he sat our best rebounder and defender when they increased their lead to 17 off putbacks and layups?

I was sitting right across from the SJU bench. Not enough for me to conclusively say that he refused to go back in, but when Providence scored on 3 consecutive (nice lineup coach) offensive rebound/putbacks, Lavin went down to talk to Obekpa and there was some kind of back and forth that did not look like it was in the normal course. Then Martin and Obekpa seemed to be having some kind of exchange while seated next to each other after that.

Again, impossible to tell without hearing what was said what exactly happened. But in conjunction with the fact that he never went back in the game when we were getting hammered on the boards, something smells funny. FWIW, the guys sitting with me also noticed the same interaction.

Guys I think it is another rumor, I cannot believe he refused to play. Lavin didn't use him for his own reasons that is why he gets the big bucks.

In 2000, the last year we won the BE tourney, Eric Barkley and Bootsie Thornton got into an altercation in the locker room during the semifinal against Miami. Barkley was still in the locker room when the 2nd half began but did come out and got back in the game. He also said after the game he was quitting but changed his mind the next day.

Didn't see the game here (kind of glad I had meetings all afternoon) and don't know what happened but wondered why CO only played two minutes, even with 3 fouls

I think if you posted it you should unveil the story rather than drop a bomb and not go into any detail whatsoever. At the same time I absolutely believe you. Unfortunate
