I put a post on my Facebook but for my friends here who are texting me my phone contacts didn't transfer over and I can't answer texts right now and something wrong with my outgoing calls

The earthquake didn't hit us just now in Peru but yes there is a tsunami warning for us but we are FINE. We are near the water but we are on high ground so there is no problem for us. Rumor is water started being pulled out to sea in Chorrilos which very close to us but it's just a rumor and rumors spread like wildfire here so I don't know if it's true but like I said even if true we are on very high ground

Thanks for the texts but I can't respond to them. At least we have internet access

Pretty scary! And unlike the rumors we regularly read on redmen.com, especially these past few weeks, these rumors have some serious, serious implications and put the others in perspective.

Not sure how much you are in contact or what information you are able to receive, so some of this may be helpful. A report filed 14 minutes ago said tsunami warnings would be in effect for 6 more hours for Chile and Peru. Waves 2 feet above normal have been reported in Peru, in Boca del Rio. There appears to be no major damage or injuries in Peru, and the two deaths reported in Chile are said to be due to heart attacks, not injuries.

Stay calm, and be safe. Of course you know resist the urge to venture to seaside. Stay safe. Prayers are with you and Natalie.
