Ugh, every time I start to get excited about this program something bad happens. Couldn't we have enjoyed the Mussini commit for a week or two before bad news. Hopefully we get a Rowan or Papa to commit soon. I guess getting Mussini was a much bigger deal than originally thought it would be. The kid will be running the show with I guess Ellison backing him up.
If we can lock up Rowan and a serviceable big man we can still be a good team come February with the pieces that we have. Getting Big Papa would be a dream come true but just getting someone serviceable at center would be ok.
I am with Mullin to the end but we are going to suck next year and at this point hopefully we will have 5 scholarship players eligible. He was in a tough spot but things are not going well. I have every confidence in the world that by year 3 we will start to see things trending the way we want.
But again those saying things are going well, I predict will be the first to turn next season when we stink. Understanding the situation we will be in is not negative but a willingness to allow this process to run its course. Things are going to be bad. In fact everything that we hoped could make this transition go smoothly went the wrong way. People need to understand that it will get worse before it gets better.
Hi there "we are SJU"
I like a lot of what you shared
Totally disagree that posters positive will be the first to turn when things go south. First of all things might not be so bad ( oh forgive me, optimistic again) second many who do believe in a positive spin are also loyal and stick with their man. Sort of like Lincoln with Grant.
I think we will be fine and (I'm probable not alone with this view) no matter the recruiting or WL record, I'm with CM & Company. For the long haul. End of the discussion.
Our glory years are returning though I agree it might not be in 2015-16.
And finally, seems much more likely that the "bitching and moaning" crowd will turn, or rather bitch & moan even louder with any faltering in the Fall. Not those of positive persuasion.
Thanks again "we are"
all the best
After all, these are the good old (as in Louie) days.
