Brewers started some guy with virtually no MLB experience and he got shelled; that’s obviously why you don’t put yourself in the position the Mets did.

It is hilarious that a team like the Reds, who’ll get demolished by the Dodgers, will get in before the big, bad Mets. The Nationals, the freaking Nats.
In 2008 another season the Mets squandered a 3.5 game lead over the Phillies with 17 to go, going 7-10 down the stretch. In the next to last game, Johan Santana pitching on 3 days rest, threw a 3 hit shutout. On the final day of the season, the very last game at Shea, they needed a win to force a 1 game playoff with the Brewers to get to the post season.
